Today I went to Ralphs with my jar full of change, put in over 60$ in change (got around 50 ish back because of the processing fee)

I still have like almost half of the jar full still. I stopped because someone was waiting for a while.

I usually just go with the Amazon code for checkout so I don't get slapped with the counting fee. If I trade my change jar in about once a year that's a large portion of my book budget every year for Kindle editions. Usually 60-90 bucks.

Don't know. I have an Alhambra water jug full of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters that I've been growing for years.

$150 or so.

My bank has a coin machine thats free to use for members. No fees. Fuck coinstar dude they charge like 10% or something. See if your bank has a machine.

My wife saved all the change she received in tips from Dunkin Donuts during her 4 years in college, and when we turned it in it was about $2700. She ended up paying for for plane tix for her and a friend to travel to Europe round trip.

i don't use coinstar because they take your money, and every time i've seen one used it spits change back out because it's rarely cleaned out.

i just go to the bank, they do it for free regardless if you're a customer or not

then try a different bank

there's three here, only one'll do change if you aren't a member, the other is if you're a member, the other just doesn't deal with it at all.

If I ever had a shit ton of change I'd take it to the bank. If they refused to count it for free I'd tell them to fuck off because that's their fucking job.
