Obviously the oatmeal won't be there all the time, and I will move the two game cases elsewhere, but I want pretty much everything else to stay on the desk (besides the trash, which I've already thrown away).

I want the ps4 horizontal and not vertical, and i want it to receive enough air.

I want everything not so cramp. As of now, when I play pc games that require a mouse and keyboard, I move the ps4 vertical and I have to rearrange a whole bunch of stuff. I want the mouse pad a little more to the right.

Basically, I'm asking what the hell can I do with all of this. maybe get some kinda of stand so that I can put the ps4 under the screen? IDK.

get a little table and put it to the side, put your console on that.

or get a bigger table in general, because that is very small.

Can you get a shelf for all of your electronics?

Also, what's all that clutter by and behind the Hersheys cup?

Like Helly said, you could look into a side table for the Switch and PS4 or for a larger desk with a drawer that you can store those pens and office supplies.

Additionally, depending on your situation, you could mount the monitor to your wall. If college dorm or renting, you may not want this as it would require a plate that'd be mounted to the wall, hurting your rent agreement.

Maybe even a small filing container for those papers. The day I bought a plastic container and dividers from Office Depot for all my papers was a good one. Makes things easy to find.

this is a great idea, should I put it under the right side? the left side is a bit occupied with my pc.

yeah, the desk is really small, and I can afford a larger one, but I kinda wanna see if I can make this one work.

I can't hang anything off of the walls unless it's with command strips or something similar.

I cleaned up the clutter a little bit lol. they were just notes and stuff.

You could put your electronics on one shelf and organize your papers in an accordion folder on the other shelf.

i mean, if you want to. it doesn't really matter what side it goes on tbh.

i think you should just get a bigger desk, or just something separate for the consoles

As others have mentioned, I also recommend a different chair, especially one with a back to it. Although, with all the back problems that you may have developed using that chair, I recommend something with more ergonomic to it.

I know this is very expensive, but it may beat a visit to the doctor for back/spine problems.

You may also want to get some velcro strips for cable management and maybe a lamp for light, since it looks very dark in that corner.

Once, my brother took a nasty dump, so the little guy started calling the bathroom The Bog of Eternal Stench.

Thanks for the link, but I don't really have back problems like that. I have pretty good posture and don't really have back issues because of the chair.

The toilet paper is there because I was sick awhile ago. Never put the roll back lol

what if I got this:

and put it under my monitor and put my ps4 beneath the riser. Would that restrict air flow to the ps4 too much?

the switch would go in the corner as I don't think it needs as much air flow as the ps4

A side table would be cool, but I can't really find one that I like.

alright, here's the (almost) finished product:

c6vWqVC

1To5kDa

8JGEIhS

I went with a metallic shelf. It's sturdy and supposedly each shelf holds up to 250 pounds. the shelves have 'lips' so that nothing will slide off.

I might a just the shelves a little bit and add one more to it so that I can store my controllers and 3ds (which is in the pencil box).

I just need to get all those wires under control (which i'll probably do when I get my three way hdmi splitter).

Thanks to all those who posted!

you can just put the controllers on top of the ps4, you wont hurt anything.

technically you can put the switch on the ps4, then slide it back so you don't have to put the controllers on the system

there isn't any air vents on the top, and the switch isn't so heavy that it'll bother anything.

It is actually a really nice rack. My gf already has one (the same exact one) and she puts laundry supplies on it. It was only like 20 bucks, too. Great price and a pretty obvious solution. Probably better than getting a wooden one as it is more breathable.

besides probably your computer, nothing you have on there has air vents on the bottom

and even then, idk how your computer is, if it has a cutout on the bottom for the power supply fan, or if your power supply is even oriented to draw air in from the bottom

while velcro tie downs are boss, it doesn't have to be those.

you can manage with those shitty twisty ties that come with bread.

you'd use more than if you just had a velcro one, but it's still passable and if you're anything like everyone, you keep those twisty ties for reasons that no one actually knows. usually it's "might come in handy", but really they just infest the junk drawer.

Still 1000x better than zipties. Zipties are great, when you're using 'em on cabling that you will rarely update or remove, but for things you touch frequently, hell no.

Tape residue? I don't know about you, but I don't relish the idea of sticky tape residue on my cables. I also don't like the idea of, if I had to remove the tape, having to peel the tape off and it either

A) Coming off in little shards
B) Having to pull the cords apart if the tape is weak enough to peel apart
C) Having to use a blade or knife to cut the tape, possibly damaging the cords themselves

If you want things to stay put and futureproof any mistakes or changes, use something that can easily be set up and removed - velcro. It's clean, it's aesthetically-pleasing, and it makes a pleasant sound.
