Who cares, I finally got a flat screen and then 3d, then smart and now 4k smart hd TV's with built in smartness. My sexbot will have hd sucking skills and a 4k asshole that blows any humans away because that's where my bot will be able to reproduce. That's right, the intelligence will show that men prefer the black hole and will adjust accordingly.

If it's any consolation most regular TV is still 1080i tops and currently there's nothing consumer-based that will work with 8K

Hell not even most movies opt for 4K cameras atm

Yeah idk why people say it isn't.

Go watch Planet Earth II in 4k on a 4k TV and in 1080p on a 1080p TV and then say it's not noticeable. You don't even need to turn the HDR on on the 4k TV.

if you are using number of pixels as the measurement, which i wasn't. if you actually took the time to comprehend my post, you'd understand that i was referring to the number of horizontal lines of pixels, i.e. the second measurement in "1920 x 1080" and "3840 x 2160". 2160 being double 1080, instead of 4 times it, which one might assume should be so if they mistakenly thought the "4k" (4000) and "1080" were referring to the same measurement, which the deceptive advertising leaves ambiguous.

so it is misleading if you incorrectly understand the metrics? sureeeeeee.

There's way more of a noticeable difference between say 240p and 1080p, than there is with 1080 and 4k. You'd need a screen at least 100inches to even notice a difference. Any claim otherwise is people trying to lie to themselves to justify their purchase.

HDR, 4k TV... these are all marketing terms you know, and the average consumer is being suckered into buying them when they hear all these abbreviations and jargon.
