I'm happy to spot Jumanji an additional 5 days, but I don't see it making up 750m in that timeframe

TLJ came out just over 3 weeks ago making this its 4th weekend. It is absolutely surprising that TLJ would drop so much to get beat by a terrible horror movie.

Really though, the much bigger surprise has been that Jumanji has been beating it for nearly a week now.

According to the article, there's a $220 million dollar difference between where TLJ is right now and where was TFA was within the same time period. Not calling TLJ a flop by any means bit it is certainly under performing for a main series Star Wars entry

From what I can see it's doing just fine for a Star Wars movie, actually better than all of them except TFA... TFA was kind of a freak, it did far better than any of the other movies did on their theatrical runs.

besides the OG Star Wars that basically single handedly rebooted the film industry in the 70s, TLJ is at least keeping step with the rest of the franchise (counting inflation)
