Yeah, back when I worked in a plant Id have a dozen of eggs in the fridge to make scrambled eggs in the morning when I got in. Pretty crushing when I got in and saw they were gone.

At my job people sometimes take people's food, but nobody has ever eaten mine. They usually take people's chips or snacks but I keep my snacks in my desk. Leftover pizza from the box and frozen food has also gone missing.
The manager provided us with a roll of masking tape and a marker and told us we should write our name on our lunch.
For the past few months, I've written the names of different superheroes or celebrities on my lunch. Sometimes I write the name of an 80s wrestler to mix things up.

Confession: one time I forget to bring my wallet to work and I took a diet Coke that wasn't mine.

In my defense, soda in the break room costs 25 cents, and people often get diet Cokes on accident, where they throw them in the fridge. An old lady witnessed the whole thing at the scene of the crime.

It's happened to me on more than one occasion. The one that got me was when someone stole my crappy sandwich, there were so many better lunches in the fridge. I also had a buddy that was going through that where he worked, so I gave him a little jar of my homemade ghost pepper hot sauce to put on his lunch, he loves spicy food but apparently the lunch thief at his job sure didn't

If I remember right, they were never able to prove who it was, but it never happened again after that.

Nope; never have. I only ever bring frozen leftovers to work, plus there are only 4 of us in the office and we all get along.

No, because I never brought one. It'd be fucking bad news if it happened though. People thought I was unhinged at some of the places I've worked... I was really happy and caring one day and a co-worker asked me "you're not going to shoot everyone later, are you? You're being weird."

Honestly, I imagine I'd just figure out who it was then stomp on their lunch every day when nobody was around and put it back (until I got bored). Failing that, I might just plant food with a used condom inside it, and clearly mark it and the bag with my name so there can be zero confusion.

Haven't really ever put anything in a company fridge. I've either run out or made something stored dry/at room temperature.

When I was working construction I used to bring a bag of sunflower seeds with me most of the time. One day at one of our sketchier jobsites, I left them in one room and went to the other side of the building to grab something. When I came back they were gone.

During the course of this job, me and my coworkers had a few things stolen so we were pretty pissed. My coworker then grabbed his bag of seeds and peed in the bag a little bit. Not a lot, just enough to give them a coating and then left them in one of the rooms.

Came back later and the bag was thrown to the floor with seeds all over the place.

Good times.
