I was skeptical of the setting at first because it would seem to discourage the atmosphere and NPC interaction that were some of the main selling points of the series, but the doors were great. Kloe, Tita and Estelle/Joshua's Moon Doors rocked, and the Star Doors were all pretty nice too, especially Renne's and Olivier/Mueller's (the latter of which has me hoping for tons of politics in Cold Steel). I even liked the Sun Doors, if only for the cute title art. And having all of the characters to dick around with was fantastic. The thing I struggled the most with was who to choose. I always kept Anelace and her when I unlocked them, and then tended towards the Colonel or Joshua. The game had feels, though I don't think I teared up as much as I did in the other games, but it was definitely good in this department. And I was affected by the story enough that ~~when I was [briefly] given full freedom of who to choose in my team, I went with Kevin, deciding that it was his story and he deserved to see it through.~~ --- Thus is our treaty written, thus is our agreement made. I spent a few days messing around with the positioning of these songs before just giving them all 100 and deciding to deal with it later (I later changed the scores purely to reflect their final placement). And then I remembered something. Astute followers of this great project may have noticed a trend in my rankings. In the spreadsheet, I'd left a NOMINATION'D column, indicating whether or not the nominator followed by seemingly purely comedic rule that evolved out of a typo in the original topic title. This column might seem just an artifact of an old mistake, but I discovered a use for it: a tiebreaker. Whenever multiple songs shared the same score, whichever ones weren't NOMINATION'D were automatically ranked lowest. And it just so happens that two of the top five songs have this trait... Sorry arti, icon.
