Item boxes can be found where save points are. You can store items in them and take them out at different locations.

How that works? I dunno.

Is there one back in the dining room? That's currently the only save point I know about so far.

there's been a ton of things I just haven't been able to pick up due to lack of space, and it's kinda annoying. >_>

The ability to save taking up a much needed slot is also kinda eh. >_>

Let me give ya some tips from the master.

Don't keep anything in your inventory except the knife or a pistol with the full 15.

Don't bother kill anything, they'll just become crimson zombies and ruin your fun

I would recommend keeping the shotgun as your 2/6 item. And only use it in close range while aiming at the zombies. One shot decapitation on the zombies

Well there's only 5 doors the lockpick/small keys are good for anyway, whereas the lighter remains useful for the whole game if you always burn the zombie bodies.

Chris also gets the vastly superior grenade subweapon.

Don't worry too much about not killing stuff or saving every bullet you find. Ammo is not THAT scarce.

Go ahead and kill some stuff if you want or if it's in your way/making things inconvenient when you have to make return trips to rooms. Just keep in mind where you left bodies.

Well oh fucking kay then, everything just started kicking my ass at once.

To be fair, I started it, I should have known better than to shoot the birds that randomly appeared in a room I'd been in earlier, but I couldn't help myself.

Then the fucking shitty ass camera angles and how they effect movement made it impossible for me to get through the passage next to me, so they continued to fuck up my shit while I had to run all the way back upstairs.

And then suddenly there were 2 running zombies in the hallway I had just been in who were definitely not there before, and nothing in that hallway ever fucking ran.

Still alive for now, but took some damage, and I should probably save.

Use the old school controls.

The camera angles work well with them

The angles are disorienting when combined with the new controls added in the remaster and fuck up your sense of direction

ok, yep, all the zombies I killed earlier (minus the like, 2 I burned) are back now and all fucking run.

I never got a cutscene warning, unless I somehow fucked up and missed it. >_>

Taking that key made the mansion fucking pissed at me apparently.

Oh man that key. My first time I examined it all over and nothing happened so I was stuck for a while until I tried it again and it worked.

And yea, the old controls can be a bit jarring at first but they work really well. You can just hold forward and not have to worry about completely changing direction if you move the stick after a camera change.

Made it to save point, but holy fuck is shit hitting the fan out of nowhere. I got zombies breaking through windows, running and chasing me down, it's crazy.

Think I'm gonna call now a stopping point for now, seems like a good place to stop since shit's really starting to get going it seems.

He's talking about the subweapon. Jill gets a stun gun which can stun an enemy when it grabs her. Chris gets a flash grenade which decapitates them.

Also, I wanna say zombies start turning into Crimson Heads after the first boss.

The very first Crimson Head is in the gold hall way where you get the spear for the jewel. Its lying prone in front of the door right across from where you enter from the dining hall balcony. If you attempt to run over to the door its guarding it will jump up and chase you. All other zombies turn into crimsons after the boss fight in the grave.

its usually after some sort of large event when enemies come back. finding a new key, beating a boss ect. HIGHLY recommended to burn the zombies after you kill them now. the flame rounds count as burning(tho i wouldn't waste them on simple zombies) and decapping their heads or blowing off their legs also makes it so they dont come back. you can also try killing them so they land on top of each other and burn them both with one light.

it might seem a little more daunting to go back and forth to burn them, but youve seen the result of not doing so and that result is nothing to fuck with.

I think the fastest I ever beat it was like 2:49 or something like that. It was just for the trophy. Of course others can do way faster.

It's not hard to beat fast as long as you know the layout of the mansion well, and have memorized all the tasks you need to do.
