I would agree if there weren't circumstances, I don't think people would go after Russ if he

- had the second best record in the league
- were missing their second and third best players

So Vucevic has gone off for a hand X-ray sustained in game. And they have just confirmed broken hand.

For anyone keeping track that means our injured right now are Vucevic (Broken Hand), Gordon (Missed 8, injured still), Fournier (Missed 8, out long term) Isaac (Missed 20, still unhealthy), Ross (Missed 12, out for the season). Payton was also out for an extended period (Missed 10 but healthy now)

Or lemme put it another way. Our entire starting 5 plus our 1st round pick are all out injured long term and/or have missed extended periods already.

This season can fucking fuck right off.

I hate tanking but given our injury woes, just call the season already and trade/tank away. Like there's no point in even trying to do anything now

Not that I want him traded away but local media has just pointed out that typically it takes 6+ weeks to recover from Vucevics injury which means he couldn't be traded

Which is part of the problem. Anyone we might want to trade or rather anyone with value is injured past the trade deadline. And I really wouldn't want to let someone like Gordon or Simmons go. And Payton doesn't fetch anything worthwhile. Every one else healthy isn't worth anything or has a bad contract

oh I just mean go for that pick. I wouldn't trade anything. you have a decent top 2-3 and just need one more guy to be competitive.

Looking at next year we have $85m tied up with Gordon, Payton and Hezonja awaiting deals. Doubt Hezonja gets a new deal as of right now and if he does well with the minutes he's going to get going forward we will lose him anyway as we declined his option so can only match what he would have got with him still being unrestricted iirc?

Either way, we have a bit if cap room if we are willing to go over cap. Or alternatively zero room if we are not

Is next season's draft class looking decent? Not looked into it like at all
