Kinda serious poll actually. This is not asking the purpose of life in general, but what the purpose of life is to you. If you feel an option is missing then post below.

Like answers can be absorbed into another statement.
For example, if you are religious and feel that serving God is the most important thing, then option 5 or 9 would be the best choice as both fit that, but in different ways.

One option that might not fit is to discover the mysteries of life, but I think that 9 maybe would be a fit for it, just that it implies you don't just discover them but share them as well. Actually, #4 fits this very well I think.

Option 10 is for the wise guys who want to play video games but do other stuff too. So you can pick that 1 and say you bang girls and play video games.

I guess the option that would have fit you is to just live but with a reason?

I guess you would take issue with option 6 because it says no reason

but then again, your little list doesn't say what you think the point is tbh

what are those things to you? do you value them because they are fun, it is moral to do, you just do?

btw, just cause the option you would put doesn't exist doesn't make the whole list bad

There's so many things I want out of life, and I would say seeking those is the point... but I'm not capable of achieving any if those. They're all just a stupid fantasy, from a stupid pathetic loser, to make myself feel like life isn't totally hopeless. I was ready to kill myself a couple weeks ago, I had everything I needed, but kind of freaked myself out when I realized what I was doing.

Epicurus had the right idea. Although I'm not sure about the 'extreme' part. He was pretty insistent about the need for moderation in all good things. Addiction and overindulgence transcend pleasure and enter into the realm of suffering.

I voted for being more intelligent than others, tbh, but I stopped reading the options after that.

My ideal endgame for life is finding someone I can grow old with and starting a family. Don't have any extravagant goals. That's pretty much what I'm working towards.

Life and the human experience is kind of cruelly funny, in a macabre sort of way. The absurdity of it all lends me to just try and enjoy the ride rather than keep trying to make any sense of it. I'll live as good a life as I can, which is to say that doesn't necessarily mean optimizing pleasure vs pain. I find a lot of pleasures are really just hedonistic escalators.

I think Aristotle had some really valid points on the topic of happiness. I'll just try and live as virtuously as I can as a daily exercise, rather than shoot for some arbitrary metric of success.
