I'm mostly making this topic because I've been wondering lately if there has ever been a combination of survival horror and racing...might as well open it up to neat cross-overs across genres in general.

We all know about Undertale -- RPG, bullethell, and WarioWare minigames all in one.

Didfy Kong Racing added creative exploration-aspects to the racing genre. Shout-out to Burnout: Paradise too.

Outland -- it's Metroidvania-light with Ikaruga's color-switch mechanics keeping it exciting.

There are a lot of games that are puzzle-games in disguise. Braid's one even though it looks like a 2D platformer. Shadow of the Colossus is too despite being a boss-focused action-adventure. Portal's a FPS built on puzzles...you get the gist.

What else makes for interesting crossovers? And seriously, for some reason I feel like there has to be a scary racer out there.

Thumper - Survival horror/rhythm game that feels excellent to play whilst you are always teetering on the verge of death whilst getting assault by Lovecraftian entities.

There's a game called Driver Survival that's pretty close to a survival horror/racing game.

I find Batman: Arkham Asylum to be an interesting genre mix, with beat 'em up/stealth action mixed with a survival horror setting and atmosphere. Devil May Cry fits that mold too without the stealth.

Koudelka is a turn-based strategy RPG with survival horror elements that I've always loved.

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes stands out to me. It's a match-3 style puzzle game/TBS game mix, where the things you're matching are your units, and how you match them determines what they do (attack, create defenses, etc). The campaign's whatever but it's a great multiplayer game if you can find someone who knows how to play it.

Henry Hatsworth had platformer and match-3 puzzle gameplay.

Hand of Fate and Hand of Fate 2 are board games with action and procedural generated elements tied to cards.

Brutal Legend almost pulled off RTS + hack-and-slash.

NieR and NieR: Automata have significant elements of SHMUP and early arcade scrollers combined with third-person action gameplay and even a text-based adventure in the first game.

Dungeon of the Endless does RTS + roguelike + tower defense really well.

HITMAN GO is Hitman, but turn-based board game style. The same applies to the other games in the GO series, but not quite as well as Hitman.

10,000,000 and YOU MUST BUILD A BOAT were some of the first games that combined match three with other progression systems. I suppose Puzzle Quest is somewhere in that realm too.

I'm also a fan of PC games that subvert action with typing. Like Typing of the Dead.

Then there's any game that takes pinball and adds something special to it, like Odama for the Gamecube or Pinout.

Seconded on Vice: Project Doom. For an NES game it had overhead shmups, first person shooting galleries, and sidescrolling action like Ninja Gaiden, along with Ninja Gaiden-esque cutscenes.

Hybrid Heaven's genre overlap is insane. Third person platforming combined with an active time battle RPG system of pro wrestling against aliens and robots.

Paris-Dakar Rally Special for Famicom has an adventure/point&click segment, a button reflex test, side scrolling platforming, horizontal and vertical shooting sections, Rally-X style maze chase, and simple overhead avoid the obstacles racing segments

Punch-Out is a sports game, puzzle game, and rhythm game all at once
