Sami1000 12/15/17 10:39:28 PM #1:	I have been playing left for dead 2 online A LOT. Like 1k hours. I see people calling each other the n word all the time. Some characters are black in that game and when they die people say stuff like "well, at least no white people died". Same with when someone gets pissed to other player they call them the n word. Hell, i also play Agario now and then while listening to asmr videos, and i see a lot of racial slur usernames too. Its kinda eye opening how much there is an actual real racism. The worst i do is i just say to white online player friends stuff like "stay black" and as a joke, but nothing actually insulting, because i don't want to insult other players if they happen to be black. --- Can't think any good sig <cite>Sami1000 posted [p:892302227] in Why are th... I've known plenty of racists in real life at this point so I basically just shrug off the racists I see online as just those types without the filter and restraint that real life introduces. I'm sure a lot of people are genuinely racist in games but I'd assume most are just some dumb teenagers who think saying offensive things is funny. They're going for shock value, because they've either yet to reach a level of social maturity, or because they lack empathy (haha they got mad epic kek), or because they're ignorant of how others might take what they believe to be humor. Its possible some of it comes from true, classic, malevolent racism. And left unchecked that behavior can evolve into it.
