Given who he's likely to face he is getting all my saves, but I'd probably put him at like 40% chance to win at best which is still higher than I'd put Minwu or Vanille

Is she, though? Even the people who dislike Vanille tend to think highly of the cast as a whole, and those that might dislike FF13 don't seem to have a ton of animosity towards Vanille the way they would Lightning or Hope. I still think a Minwu/Vanille final would draw astonishingly low votals.

Vanille needs to face a character that is also disliked, and Minwu isn't that. Minwu is, for most people, a nobody which makes for a fantastic target to wrack up anti-votes and not build up votes against him - nobody is going to see Minwu in the title and feel an urge to anti-vote him.

It's not that I think she will draw in enough hate, but the votals will be so low that minwho can take advantage of that - Vanille just isn't going to be a big draw

It's like a ratio of hate & draw

Cloud: Moderate hate, high draw
Laguna: Low hate, moderate draw
Minwu: Low hate, low draw
Vanille: Moderate hate, low draw

It doesnt determine the matches, but it determines strengths of certain match-ups.

What are the Ashe numbers?

If this final happens (by the grace of god Cloud makes it all the way) and Cloud is just crushing, I would do everything myself to make sure that Minwu was not worse than Ashe.
