...net neutrality isn't a consumer protection, it's a business protection. All it does is ensure that ISPs can't shake down businesses when businesses are placing an added burden on ISPs or, more rarely, when ISPs are engaging in non-competitive business practices. In case you missed it, the legislation primarily went through because cable companies were throttling Netflix to get the company to cough up some dough because it was responsible for a heavy amount of usage.

Fuck the FCC.

Anyways law suits are up by more than 10 states. So it isn't going to go into effect yet. Maybe they can hold it up to 2018 so we can take back congress and pass a bill to fix it.

It was conceived because corporations started to throttle and block content for the consumers.

If net neutrality existed since the beginning, wed still be using AOL lmao. The beauty of capitalism allowed other providers to see that AOL was throttling and they offered a cheaper, better product.

This is irrational.

So i emailed my congressman and hes for repealing net neutrality.

I don't know what to do, because people who are for the repeal don't want to see facts or think of the future. They think that the goverment is going to micro-manage the internet. They don't see the bigger picture.
