Is that a slider on a Hawaiian roll out is there something more to it?

Potato is mainly carbs and fiber. Corn is protein, carbs and fiber. Ground corn has been a staple of the Mesoamerican diet for centuries and is highly nutritious when done correctly.

Cool, corn chips are still not a vegetable any more than Cheetos are a vegetable. Fresh sweet corn and you'd be on to something

I followed the pizza with a tablespoon of wasabi. It was a mistake.

Corn chips, organic or not, are not vegetables. Americans treating it like a serving of vegetables explains a lot about your obesity epidemic all the same

If you could count it as a serving of vegetables I guarantee Frito Lay and everyone else would have that shit prominent on all of their packaging. Imagine selling junk food as a vegetable. So much money to be made. Culinarily, nutritionally, legally... It's fried (or baked) grains.

It's like comparing candy corn to organic candy corn. Still candy still bad for you and still not a serving of vegetables

Does this actually taste like chicken, or is the trick to avoid chicken for awhile then eat it so your body isn't making a direct comparison to something you ate recently?

It does in the way that many things taste like chicken. It's a pretty neutral flavor. Chicken like. I had this stuff before going vegan and it was good then. Mock meat is not exactly the same as actual meat but that's not necessarily bad. The were a lot of untasty aspects of meat when I was eating it. You never get random gristle, fat, bone, veins, clots, cysts, etc. in something like Gardein. Most of the flavor in meat dishes is with sauces and spices and you can do that with mock meat very easily.

I'm not planning on eating any more chicken. That stuff pictured tastes good and isn't a dead animal and that works for me.

Gonna make seitan today, found my recipe and getting to work now.

Just eat an animal if you want to eat animals. Vegans are so fucking annoying.

You're mad that veg people make plants look like food. Check yourself. Animals don't come shaped like hamburger patties or sausages or bacon strips or chicken tenders. They don't come seasoned or sauced. Animals don't look like food until you kill them and remove their outsides and fix them up with plants. They're not food until you erase any hint of them having been a creature.

You don't need to kill an animal to make food look or taste that way. You want to eat meat? Go chomp on some fresh raw bodies with the faces still attached. Hold the sauce.

Until then, you like food, not meat.

Oh shit I found these. Frozen and not looking in the best shape. But still, will try them soon. They're not officially available in Canada yet and one market has a hook up. 11.50 for two patties... Worth trying but even if they're amazing I'm not getting them again until they're widespread and cheap.

The city has such a good selection of options. I stocked up on 4 kinds of tofu, vegetarian duck, soy curls, jackfruit, and so many spices. I've got enough curry paste to cook for a small army.

They're not available here so there's a huge mark up where you can find it. I've heard it's much cheaper in the US. Something like 6 bucks a pack. Still more pricy than beef. They don't get that sweet agrisubsidy like meat makers
