I've never heard more booing at a sporting event than the first half at the music city bowl today. From both sides.

Yeah, it looks like you were a little late. Rough break if they do come through, seeing as how it was Kentucky that was up 7-0 when the Belk Bowl finally ended and let the Music City Bowl onto ESPN.

Yeah, that's a rough break. Most of us went 4-2 or 5-1 anyway, and someone (I think kev) went 2-4 anyway. 3-3 with a push is the worst.

This first pick is a bit tough, because I do feel that Kentucky is underrated. But Northwestern might be underrated as well. I've got a very high confidence level on Northwestern straight up, but I've got a feeling that the only way they cover this spread is if it goes to triple overtime. Northwestern did make quite the habit of winning in overtime, after all.

I love how even though I got the pick itself wrong, my blurb was essentially spot on. Kentucky scored with less than a minute left and decided to go for two rather than risk overtime, and it failed so Northwestern won by 1.

Don't know what to expect from the Outback Bowl but the Big Ten has been perfect so far.

I think Auburn will win the game, but I'm always afraid of double-digit lines unless it's clear that a team has been beating up on nobodies and doesn't really belong. Except, uh... the AAC has been kind of a disappointment this bowl season, especially up top. USF barely squeaked by and Memphis lost. SMU got crushed. Houston lost. Okay, yes, the 6-6 teams managed to roll (not that Navy's win was even remotely surprising), but there isn't really anything to tell me that UCF isn't going to get manhandled--especially given how narrowly they managed to keep their undefeated season rolling in each of their last two games despite how highly they scored. I just don't think they'll be able to stop an SEC offense.

LSU is just one of those teams that'll always be there. They're just quietly a ranked team again, like they always are. I miss Les Miles, though; he made things more interesting.

I feel like my heart picks for the semis are actually good ones. But these are heart picks. No way I take Alabama over Clemson, or Oklahoma over Georgia, and no way I don't stick with the one I was backing in the semis if I go 1-1. 2-0 or 0-2, that's a tough call for who I pick in the finals. (Well, not so much for the 0-2; follow the head and pick Alabama).

I don't have enough knowledge about the FCS, but going against North Dakota State is rarely a good plan.

Seriously though, that Duke > Northwestern result ended up being one of the stranger results of the season

Iowa obliterating Ohio State, then losing to Purdue was also very weird. The Big Ten was confusing overall.

More like the state of Iowa was very confusing. Take out either of those results you mentioned, and there would be a clear delineation between the "haves" and the "have-nots" in the Big Ten, in which the former were perfect against the latter (which one Iowa was would depend on which result you removed), and then you've got Iowa State technically finishing 7th in the Big 12 because other than the bottom three teams, their only conference wins were... the top two teams.
