it's exactly the same as asking what they'd want and picking that character

It's one thing to say it's fine and nothing is owed. It's another thing entirely to give it to a different saver especially late in the game to me. That person didn't have the save to claim it after all so I never thought they should have any right to it

I don't think most people offering it expect the person taking it to give it to somebody else. I mean that makes no real sense

If I'm owed a save it doesn't matter to the offerer how I decide it. It's essentially my save to decide on.

That's not even how NRs work, it's not a person-to-person thing at all. It's a completely random giveaway.

Person to person would be singling out a single person to accept your NR to begin with. NRs are given to a dice roll.

The giver and the taker of an NR don't "go both ways". The giver is always a singular designated person, only the taker is a dice roll.

I wouldn't like saving somebody I don't like, but that would be fine. I mean the way it is apparently fine with people now I could throw out an NR, somebody could take it and pass it to one of their friends and then I could also pass the debt to repay it to somebody else instead of me if they were ok with it. Just seems weird and like it could be taken advantage of somehow

the way to took advantage of it would be to pass it off to someone who would save x character anyway, but then that person is screwing themselves out of a save for a character they want to save so

I feel like if you've got some sort of code about trading you should be against NR trades on policy

Being for NRs but strictly regulated NRs is weird to me-- like if you're already trading cross rounds you've already got a loose code

I mean I'm sure there are evil ways to abuse it. The person who took it could intentionally miss the round and potentially cause the character they were supposed to save to be eliminated and just say whoops they had something come up and couldn't make it.

I mean who knows in this contest. We've had all sorts of issues in the history of this contest from voltch's spilled blood with Chris, Socko spotting early saves and eliminating people, bots saving, alts saving, saving early to eliminate a character on purpose, etc. Somebody could think of ways to take advantage of it I bet

Also I guess Ramza going out to Number 7 and 8 in his final 3 proves there's still merit in maining him next year

Tier 2: Laguna Minwu

Tier 3: Vanille (because Lightning is stronger)

CHAOS tier: Kain.

also I don't think Kain's end of round rushes will really carry over into a final

maybe I'm wrong but I don't think he'd have a good chance of winning in the finals but I guess it's matchup dependent

Cloud is in tier 1 by himself. He's the only one I actually think he has a good chance of making the finals. With Tidus getting eliminated today, I think everyone remaining at least has a decent chance to get there.
