"You guys care an awful lot about the Alabama senate race" very clown

People should care about every senate race. The more contentious ones especially. The controversial ones doubly especially.

What about it? You should have some minor care about it sure.

It is very easy to compare the "care" between this race and every other race.

And to act like you should care as much as a person from Alabama is a straight lack of common Sense across the board.

They do not vote in the Alabama race. The Alabama Senator does not represent them. They are not his constituents. An Alabama Senator is charged with primarily looking out for his state and trying to do what he thinks is best for his state.

Anyone saying the Alabama race is as important to them as an Alabama person is lacking common sense and just saying nonsense.

This is just them doing as Ulti says in playing "Team Blue".

There has been like 33 Senate Elections this past year. The care for those races boiled down to which one they thought they could win for their team. Little to do with positions, background of candidates, or otherwise. This is simply no different.

The fact is the singular Alabama Senator spot is less than half a % of the process in making decisions in this country. It has no real significance over than an Alaska Senator spot. A Maine one. A California one. Etc. Which we can see just by before that all was cared about was if a seat was one for their party and not on background, political spots, or so on.

Yes. The care of going on and on about it nonstop for what almost a month is a "You guys care a whole lot yadda yadda". And acting like their care should be equivalent to someone who lives in Alabama is illogical. It would be tantamount to someone living in Yemen saying they care as much about the Russian election as a Russian does. Illogical.

I wonder how many of these people who even care even know what the Democrats stances are on positions. Hell, I don't even know the dude's name because I could care less. It is an Alabama Senate Race. I do not have a dog in the race. Who cares.

I sure as fuck didn't care who won Senate or House seats on election day besides hoping for a majority. I sure as fuck am not going to care more than that now.

The reason we care so much about this race instead of shrugging and saying "of course a Republican is going to win in Alabama" is because Roy Moore is a fucking pedophile

Well, even assuming that's true, you don't actually have to care as much as someone from Alabama to care about the race.

In addition to the senate majority, the fact that the current political climate enables such a scandal to not really impact a guy's chances of winning to nearly the extent you'd ideally want it to because it's red (and blue) over all else.

Also keep in mind that when there's nothing to talk about this topic will literally go for days on end just jabbing at Trump tweets. I mean if that's my alternative I'll take yapping about Moore for a year every time.

He is alleged to have gone on a date with an underage girl and alleged to have assaulted a legal aged girl. Nothing more. Neither has been proven. And neither is pedophilia.

You care because you don't want a R to win the seat. Nothing more.

You can't be taken serious in your supposed manufactured care when you cannot even properly label the person.

You have branded someone you want to lose a pedophile when not even alleged to be one, let alone proven to be one.

Pedophilia or paedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children.

The only reason you continue to brand this nonsense when completely and obviously clearly not factual is because you feel it vilifies the target more to make the person easier to root against and to supposedly make others not like the person.

It is not the discussion. It is the absolute vitrol, "fuck xxxx", woe is me talk I am referring to specifically. If Alabama elects a piece of shit, so be it. That is their decision. Same as if Montana, Florida, New Jersey, Michigan, etc does it.

I am from Pennsylvania. I cared about my Senate Race because it directly affects me. I didn't even know who ran in West Virginia, Ohio, New York, or mostly wherever else. Nor why should I have. Just like I doubt anyone here cared oh so much about them to be able to name them all now.

Net Neutrality is probably going under, a terrorist attack was just attempted, and so on. And what has dominated this topic pretty soundly? Trump's tweeting and a Republican Alabama Senator hopeful supposedly being a pedophile 40 years ago which hasn't even ever been alleged.

Moore was accused of assaulting a 16 year old. Not a 14 year old. You do not even know what you are talking about while "caring so much". He was accused of going on a date with a 14 year old, there being a small amount of intimate contact (which did not include any below the clothes or penetrating contact) the 14 year old asking him to drive her home and him doing so as asked. That was the entire allegation. There was zero assault claim on the 14 year old allegation.

If you cannot even know the details of what you supposedly care so much about how the fuck are you going to tell me it is about what you supposedly care so much about and not the party they represent. Give me a fucking break.

He is a creepy piece of shit who should be in jail because a crime was alleged to have been committed by him 40 some years ago, is not proven to be true, and has the dubious timing of coming out during a contested political election???

I mean, he very well could be. If so, he deserves to be ridiculed, scorned, and disavowed. But, he also could not be. The fact you are jumping to that conclusion is pretty telling. You want that to be the truth to support the result you want.

Would I vote for him if he was running in PA? Probably not. Depends on the other option presented. His stances don't very well align with mine. But, I am not going to sit here and say a possibly innocent person should be lumped as a fucking pedophile because they do not run under the party tag I generally support. That's ludicrous.

There's enough evidence to support he's scummy as hell.

1. True by all sides and accounts.
2. I do not think that is true. I believe that he was rumored to have been banned from a mall but there is no evidence to support that beyond rumors. Snopes does not have an answer to the veracity of it.

https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/locals-were-troubled-by-roy-moores-interactions-with-teen-girls-at-the-gadsden-mall

3. True. A woman has come out to say that and her allegation is at odds with ever single other story that has come out. She is the only one who has alleged an assault. Her story is debated in truth because it purportedly has holes in it and the evidence has allegedly been tampered with.

The truth is, we may never know the truth of what happened. And, maybe the person is guilty or not. But jumping to label someone a pedophile is ludicrous. That is a very serious label with very serious implications and consequences. Especially when they are not even alleged to be one.

Is it? Last I checked dude is likely to become a sitting US Senator.

Consequences my ass.

It potentially could cost him a Senate seat he would have won in a landslide despite not being found guilty of any crime. That is a pretty serious consequence for something.

I mean I'm usually with him on waiting and seeing-- hell I even still give Trump the benefit of a doubt because I think the cases made against him had a lot of holes and people were just assuming the worst.

But if you're still giving Moore the benefit of a doubt-- hell just looking at the "defense" of it presented by his camp should be a red flag-- and I am wondering what could possibly convince you on any sort of accusation.

I think a lot of the defense of his actions has been for dating 16 and 17 year olds which is legal there.

The 14 year old and the 16 year old assault allegations have been denied pretty vehemently by Moore to my knowledge.

Maybe he shouldnt have dated teenage girls then. Even the ones that are legal are still a scandal to many people

I know youve called that idea dumb before but its reality

He shouldn't have a Senate seat for multiple reasons. Dude wants religious tests to serve in congress, thinks America's greatest years were during slavery, wants to get rid of all the amendments beyond the 10th, and wants homosexuality to be illegal.

Complaining about him being called a child diddler is just one of the many things that should disqualify him from office, so knock off the woe is him nonsense.

Well, something being a scandal which is explicitly legal there seems silly to me. It would be like being mad if a billionaire used legal loopholes to pay as little as in taxes as possible and ultimately less than a lesser class. Oh wait...

The target of your morality arguments should be at the law if you feel it is wrong. Not at a person who followed the law. If he did nothing besides follow the law, then what did he do wrong. That's why the only two allegations that even matter at all to me are the 16 year old assault allegation and the 14 year old dating allegation.

CNN did nothing illegal by airing the Diet Coke segment, yet you seem to have no issue judging that as immoral

There are a lot of things that are technically allowed by the law that you probably shouldn't consider moral, quite frankly.
