This is true.

Let's put it this way, I haven't played a game like this since my brother and I played through Scott Pilgrim vs The World, and that was... back when we were living under the same roof, which was... like, 5 years ago.

There's also the fact that the PS4 controller I used had the jump and item button locations swapped from the usual locations which contributed to the starting ineptitude. (why the air combo I was trying to copy turned into jump then heavy attack which worked well on stationary things (like the ice wizard boss while he was charging) but didn't combo the soldiers nearly as well.

I mean, there's no doubt I leveled my yellow dude pretty wonkily.

But even with all that; I did have fun playing.

I just made it to the sixth dungeon in Link's Awakening this morning, so should have that beaten in a few days.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to beat Soul Calibur II this month since I will be with family for the remainder of the month. I played a bunch of it though, and I'm glad it got picked. It's very nostalgic to me even though I never owned it. I remember playing as Link at those GameCube kiosks in stores all the time when it came out, so I'm glad I finally got to actually play the whole game.

Gameking has beaten Link's Awakening.

Forgot to post that I beat it a few days ago. Glad I finally played through it. I remember starting it up several times as a kid and never making it past a few dungeons. About four years ago I made it to the Eagle's Nest, but my 3DS broke so I never finished it.

Anyway it was a fun experience with some really clever dungeons, I really liked the non linear dungeons later in the game. Biggest issue was that there were only two item slots, this game was built with more in mind.
