Please, I am so bad at making decisions. I wish I started looking earlier so I knew which classes to take in High School ;_;

First and foremost, what's the difference between a university and a college? Is the former just snobbier?

Second of all, what's a good way to just find names or places, instead of just clicking on a thousand links is there place that just, boom, lists all the information and names right there?

Now that we got the dumb questions out of the way here's the more serious stuff: I'm having real trouble finding out things I like to do.
If I had to go off things I purely like there'd simply be to much to do.
So far there's only five places I have listed down so far (p.s. I live in Delaware. Woo hoo!)

Walnut Hill, PA - I always loved cooking, I liked the idea of managing a restaurant or working there. My current job (wendy's) is steered me into it and if things go well I can get a job at my local Outback next month.

Capitol Hill, MD - I listened to a presentation of it, it was cool listening to how they do networking and such, and they're close friends with Nasa so that's a big plus. There was also something were they guarantee you finding a job within 90 days, the people there make a ton of money.

Gwynedd Mercy, PA - I have yet to visit it, though I did speak to people who've went to it before. I don't know :P I'm not the best researcher...

University of Houston, TX - I've heard a lot about this school, I see they have a loooooot to pick from but I was hoping for maybe something business related. A teacher of mine keeps hating on Texas though he keeps saying I'm too nice for it >:( There's a chance I might go to Houston (or maybe it could be Dallas, can't remember too well) so hopefully I can get a chance to check it out.

And finally - the Naval Academy, MD. Now, I wasn't always interested in this school, but I recently met a teacher who graduated from the school, and they loved it so much they but 29 years in the navy as a captain. I was fortunate enough to go to a little presentation they had for the school and it actually seemed pretty amazing. I've been looking at there majors list ever since and I still can't decide!

There's so much I wanna learn and do! Realistically, as of now I'd be best at history and maybe physics but I really wanna do engineering or political science
There'd be a looot I'd have to do to prepare, I'm told they only have a 9% acceptance rate. I've been looking at videos of the place and listening to how it was from my teacher and I don't know, something about it attracts me more than the others.

We'll see, I'm saving this list and keeping it updated in case I find more. I very much appreciate help, feedback, and advice.

I have a bunch of buddies and family friends who went to the Naval Academy. The environment is rough, especially the first year or two, but they all enjoy active duty.

From that list I would choose Houston if I were in your shoes. The city is booming right now so while youre in school youll likely have ample opportunities to intern and network in your field.

Im not a fan of Texas myself but places like Houston and Austin are very different and much more progressive than the state overall. Food for thought.

In the United States, at least, the primary difference between a university and a college is the size and scope of the institution, whether and how much research is done, and whether or not it has graduate programs. This is not a hard rule and there are some schools which are, in actuality, universities, but which maintain the word "college" in their name.

Typically, a college is smaller, only has undergraduate degrees, that is Bachelor's degrees (4-year programs) and sometimes Associate's degrees (2-year programs). Universities are typically larger and have graduate degree programs, that is doctoral and Master's degrees, in addition to undergraduate degrees. Many universities, largely because of size and the number of degree programs, actually consist of multiple "schools" including what is often called a "college" as well as (varying depending on the university) a business school, medical school, nursing school, law school, and various others. Which ones a university has, how they are organized, and what they are called varies from university to university.

Additionally, typically because of the presence of graduate students, many universities have more research labs and institutions as well as programs and centers for research and study of particular topics, issues, and regions. Again, this too varies greatly by university.

Once again, this is not a hard rule and some places have the opposite name for reasons related to the history of the institution.

I see, thanks for the explanation.

Is this place real? I can't find it online. I would be hesitant about that job "guarantee".

You need to become better at this. I know there is a vast amount of information to sort through, so there's nothing wrong with asking for advice. But you should work to hone your research skills for future academic, career, and personal success.
