It's like... my life? I don't know how to describe it since it's the only race I've experienced. It's also hard to really quantify privileges described as the absence of a bad thing happening. Take that post about not getting tickets - yeah, that is nice, but I don't really know for sure whether I'd be getting more tickets or pulled over more often if I wasn't white. And in terms of white favoritism, I probably experience it but almost nobody is going to explicitly say to you that they're doing this for you because you're white

Being white is confusing sometimes.

Not a denial of privelage, but when the rest of the races want you to flog yourself for silly shit it really makes one cynical

I saw one person ranting on social media about White people inventing slavery; which I'm pretty sure was invented by Egyptians. And if the outrage over that one movie God's of Egypt taught me anything: Egyptians weren't white... or something.

sure I don't get harassed by the cops as much surely. but I have been harassed by them plenty in the past, seems to have a lot to do with where you live too, not just simply race. also to add the way I dressed back then i'm betting didn't help matters (though in some places i'm sure race plays a much bigger roles than others) almost got arrested once just for being in the wrong place. happened to be walking late at night near a factory that had just been broken into. had 3 cop cars surrounding me grilling the fuck out of me. didn't want to seem to believe anything I told them. fortunately one of them got a call on their radio they found one of them down the road, they quickly gave a "thanks for your cooperation" hopped in their cruisers and sped off. (when something happened in that town all the cops liked to be present. its kinda why they harassed people. they where bored)

other than that though I haven't received much else privilege that i'm aware of. even with financial aid or whatever college still looked like it was going to put me in debt so I steered away from it. seeing my brother harassed constantly over his debt kinda made it look really bad to me.

I think any time a black dude gets harassed by cops they assume it's because they're black. But I've had my fair share of encounters with asshole cops assholing for no good reason

well i'm positive racist cops exist. racists exist in any profession just about. but the majority? probably not. just the racist ones are going to go out of their way to abuse their power. and also if you happen to live in a high crime area, well that ain't helping matters. like where I lived I mentioned. it wasn't high on violent crime, but drugs and minor B&Es where common. I say minor because usually never much got stolen in the process, usually just a quick in and out grabbing one thing of value like the tv. it almost felt like because we lived near a high crime city, we where getting the small fish who couldn't handle swimming in the same pond as the big fish so to speak

Considering that you'd be killed at many points in the past for being white, that's fairly doubtful. Even during colonial America, being white was no guarantee of anything considering that native tribes weren't always appreciative of people "appropriating" land. Broadly speaking, you'd be treated pretty awfully in any civilization where whites weren't the majority -- ie, the same as any other race.

No. It's not.

Putting aside the current PC environment, it's really not. You need to sit down and work hard to get anywhere's. A lot of PoC seem to think that being white gets you things like, say, a white Santa coming by on Christmas and giving you an office job and PS4 when, in reality, the majority of us end up working the same crappy manual labor jobs that the person who believes in white Santa does. We sit down and have to work hard at school, need to work hard for raises and paychecks, and so-forth. Plus we have a constant string of negative stereotypes that follow us around just like PoC; like the redneck or white trash ones.

Factoring in the current social justice climate and it can be outright terrifying. Imagine potentially losing your job because a PoC decided you were racist and filed a complaint with the company; regardless of if you were following the script or even said anything to them. Or hearing constantly about how your race is horrible monsters who do nothing but enslave, oppress, and abuse PoC despite how your ancestors didn't even come to 'Murica till 1930 and you come home to cry every night into your mattress in the barren hovel you call 'home' because your entire life is basically devoted to trying to get enough money to pay bills. Heaven forbid you are a straight, white, male and say anything against whatever the current PC focus is on.

It's like people hear that you're an elf and instantly assume you're the high elf kind whom everyone loves and adores who get everything handed to them on a silver patter, only to find out you're a Santa/Keebler elf who spends their days working hard to make small things they took for granted or a Dark elf whom people outright despise.

I'm white with blue eyes and I've never felt it had advantages or disadvantages. But that might be different depending on where you live.
When I was in a city in China people wanted to make photos of the white giant (I'm 1.90m) and I was even asked to hold a baby, while people made peace signs.
I was also very white when visiting a village in Malawi (Africa), but people were mostly interested in clothing and photography equipment and things like that.
I think the western media (especially the US) emphasizes on skin colour way too much.
