Ok I finally got an origin scan in Louisville KY at 2:33am, 13 hours and 38 minutes after it was "ready for UPS" this afternoon. It's next day air but can it possibly get to New England in time for delivery on Friday? I'm skeptical.

While they are random, there are booster items you can use to try to sway the outcome.

Grind monsters for hours and hours hording common core crystals until you've bonded with hundreds of common blades and eventually you get her after like a week or more.

My game just showed up, woo. Will start playing in a couple hours.

I've purposefully gone dark on the game so I can go in with a completely clean slate, but that means I haven't been able to compare the dub vs. sub voice actors... what are folks' thoughts on them? I loved the Xenoblade 1 dub but I've heard some buzz that this cast has some pretty significant issues compared to the original.

People have been generally positive on the English VA. At most people tend to say it's only a couple characters that are spotty. I've seen a lot of praise for Rex and Pyra in particular.

Agreed with both of these. Nia's voice might be a bit too soft in the mix, although I messed with the sound settings so that might be the problem. Rex struggles to keep up with the range expected in his role. Pyra's voice actor is great, too.

Rex feels kind of all over the place but when he's on, he's really on. Nia I've liked from the start and Pyra seems really solid so far too. Already, not as bad as I'd feared! I remember XB1's dub cast really grew on me over time before I came to love them like I do now, so maybe the same thing will happen here!

I havent played X but it feels like XC1. So far its all plot for me.

In joining the delivery woes, UPS says my copy was delivered, but it's not here! Hopefully it's in the front office, though it was delivered well after it closed. Amazon delivery has really gone downhill for me lately.

Well X had plot...but it felt hollow. You were just an avatar. Cutscenes awkwardly stopped for a stock answer from the avatar which was really....offputting. Like I think I'd have liked the game more if there was no plot and it was just exploring Mira really.

The cut scenes are awesome and after 3 hours I already care more about the story than I ever did in XCX.
