They should have different high schools geared towards different things, like trades, technology, and so on. My friends that make the most money sucked in high school. One dropped out in grade 10 and another finished a year late, and now they're getting paid.

What I mean is, it's unfair to force kids to go to school - kids don't care.

But as an adult, I wanna learn the everything - but now I gotta pay, such irony

Just apply for a bursary or something. There are lots that go unclaimed, iirc. I'm sure you could find one that can be justified.

too bad there isn't, like, injectable knowledge or something. Like, you know how people can inject drugs, insulin, blood transfers, etc....but with knowledge? Then we won't need school.

edit - they can make gummies for kids

Schools need to focus on directly teaching you how to perform a profession of your choice and less on general knowledge that borders on trivia.

They have a relatively similar thing to what you are referring to in Germany which to me sounds like a brilliant idea for people who aren't 100% certain on university(/college) .

Japan does that. At 14 or so you can go to trade school instead.

High school should be Optional. Instead option to take trade school after middle school. Trade school can also prepare for GED. So at graduation you can start working and take community college if you so choose.

Problem is in USA, trade school not marketed and popularised. But should be better choice for those who don't do well in high school and who can't get into college. So they can start earning right when they begin adulthood.

Most kids who didn't care for the classroom setting in high school took votech and or shop. They learned good paying trades.

Now we have EAST, Environmental and Spatial Technologies, which I taught for awhile. I loved teaching that class and miss it. The students did community service based projects that actually mattered and had industry standard hardware and software.

after I graduated my high school actually did that. separated into 3 campuses not sure if they built new schools or just took over other already existing ones. and you chose which one you wanted to go to based on what you wanted. sadly the case is though, a lot of teens don't truly know what they want to do in life, and also you are going to have dumbasses that choose to go this or that school because their friend or BF/GF is
