I just made it through the first floor of Demontower...like that I get nine lives here.

Calling it a night from here. I'm really enjoying the game! NitW understands a lot about small towns, isolation, and the sensativities of survival in those conditions. So far it's great!

Holy crap, that third floor Demontower boss really kicked the difficulty up a notch!

Something this game is nailing so far too is a sense of family. The game's still early, but something family life often has to my experience is structure and that's what 24/7 Mom in the morning + Getting Older Dad at night provide.

It's also cool to see the game do something with family that I've failed to follow through on with NaNoWriMo: begin with the death of a grandfather and then just accept that going forward instead of making the game all about that death.

Demontower's fourth floor is down! I wouldn't have been hit much if my joystick didn't make me face the opposite direction sometimes. Oh well, moving forward on floor five -- the Library.

Stepping away from Demontower at floor six -- it's got an interesting difficulty curve by simply allowing you less and less max health each level, effecting making every enemy a little scarier. Then you throw in the new enemies too, and yeesh. Had a close encounter on that lass boss, but still no deaths!

I liked this nightmare scene better, but I'm a sucker for music adding layers based on gameplay too (Portal 2 has a puzzle I love because of this).

I did two more floors of Demontower...jeez, that last one finally killed me when I was like two hits from beating the boss.

Then I died three more times.

Then I nearly died because the blood was in front of the door, but I shimmied my way in there. Punk.

Stopping at Leavy Graveyard and moving forward with Mae's big adventure.
