Fur and the like.

Shows and movies especially old school ones always portray them as being incredibly comfortable but honestly they're not that wow. It's just clothes, not really worth clubbing a seal to death just to wear it or a bear.

I make a point not to wear fur or leather.

I wear leather. It's unethical to be against it.
Look at it this way.

Millions of cows are already dead. They've already been butchered. There's no bringing them back.
Would you rather
A: Make sure no part of those cows is wasted and do your part to make their death worth something.
B: Virtue signal about how leather/fur is bad and refuse to wear it in the hopes that the tons of skin from already dead cows will go to waste.

Seems a clear choice to me.

i mean most people who are against wearing it are also against eating it. Or they're against using regrowing parts of an animal while the animal "suffers" in the meantime...like Sheep Wool i guess.

The more common Leather is not (too) bad as it's from cows, similar to how wool is from sheep so that's alright. I was just thinking of the more exotic animals and furs that were worn by "high" class society during the ultimate decadent periods and thinking that it's a bit of a waste since they're not really worn for super comfort (as they're not comfortable) but rather status. I'd sooner understand wearing silk and satin over the fur of say a tiger.

i mean yea they're trying to change ALL aspects of it. I'm not saying i agree with them but they're goal is to prevent the animal from "dying anyway" for the sake of clothing and food.

Which is completely asinine when you consider the livestock species that would go completely extinct without human care.
And the millions and millions in lost jobs.

So they think it's ok to cause a species (maybe more) to go extinct and cause a financial crisis the likes of which we've never seen before, all because they think it's mean to eat meat and use the animal parts rather than waste them?

I think that makes them giant assholes.

This of course doesn't include vegans/vegetarians that do it as a personal choice and don't try to influence others.
