Recently listened to the audiobook since they were promoting it in conjunction of the theatrical release on Audible. Dunno if the movie's good, but the book is solid.

I liked the movie a lot. Made me remember Johnny Depp actually can do things besides Jack Sparrow and two dozen variations of Jack Sparrow

It's ok. I liked Branagh but I feel with such an amazing cast it could have been even better. It's not as good as Grand Budapest Hotel

Yeah, it was fine, but it wasn't as good as it should have been. Branagh's Poirot was pretty solid though, so I'd be happy watching another film with him in it.

The soliloquy at the end was dumb. The outside scenes conveyed no sense of coldness and felt silly at best. When he screamed at the group by the tunnel it felt forced. The beginning with the Jerusalem scene did nothing for me and I felt like it belonged more in 80s or 90s Jerusalem than 30s Jerusalem. I'm no scholar on the matter, that's just feelings.

The middle of the movie and the interrogations were easily the best part. Everything else fell flat for me.

I was excited to watch it because Christie is my favorite author but dang the ending sequence really was a little over the top. Still a pretty decent movie, here's hoping they make another

I mean they pretty much set it up for a sequel, death on the Nile was a pretty great book. What I'd really wanna watch is a murder of roger ackroyd movie, that book is my favorite

I really liked the movie. The characters were fun, visually it was exactly what I wanted it to be, and Poirot was great. I have no complaints.

Well except that after showing Poirot waking up with his silly mustache protector on, we later see him trying to go to sleep without it. Does he wear it or doesn't he? Let's have some consistency please.
