And unpopular opinion time, but Futurama was a crap show, with uninspired characters; and worst of all, The Simpson's decline in quality started around the same time as Futurama's creation. So not only did Futurama suck, but it made the Simpsons suck too since Groening spread himself too thin (much like Family Guy's decline after American Dad and The Cleveland Show). So back to Rick and Morty.... Rick is a ripoff of Bender, and Bender was already a contrived and uninspired character to begin with.
