I basically live in jeans. unless its cold I even sleep in them a lot. when cold I got a thick pair of pajama pants that are warm

I literally have jeans just for bumming around the house in because they got holes and shit in them.

Honestly, jeans are great. Sweatpants are *maybe* a seasonal item for around the house, but they're not an attractive item. Jeans are functional *and* they look good. Denim is also one of the few materials which continues to look good even as it decays and, because it's a durable material, it takes a *long* time to wear thin.

I hate how they where invented to be work pants but a lot of places don't consider them acceptable for working in anymore. I understand that in a office job. but anything requiring physical labor I feel they are acceptable attire.

like when I used to work in kitchens, it kills me how many things have sharp enough edges on them to cut you or either snag the hell out of your clothes if you aren't careful.

Jeans.

If I'm at home I'm wearing sweatpants. If I'm out (and not at work) I wear khakis or slacks like an adult. Jeans are for children and rednecks.

And gods help you If you ever wear a belt with a pair of jeans.

There are more clothes that are similar to sweatpants that aren't sweatpants than there is anything similar to jeans.

Literally need to do that at times, same as slacks/khakis. Don't want to go around looking like a fool with your pants on the ground.

It's less the age thing and more the hick thing.
Pajamas are acceptable at any age anyway, it's all about the print and cut.
A nice pair of grey sweatpants, that aren't too tight fitting, and a Henley is a good "around the house" look.

Buy jeans that fit if you must wear them.
And of course you wear a belt with khakis and slacks, silly, didn't anyone teach you how to dress?

some peoples weight fluctuates. not going to buy new jeans every time I gain/lose 5-10 lbs, as that is quite common with me.

I'm honestly starting to get annoyed at all the hick hate around the internet.

Jeans are superior to sweatpants in everyday life so bye sweatpants. I do wish I could wear jeans at work.

If you think it's a hick thing, it's probably because you come from some podunk town and haven't seen how real city-slickers dress up north.

No, pajamas are really geared more towards kids.

There's no such thing as a good-looking pair of sweatpants. Sweatpants signal to the world, "I've given up and I don't care enough to hide it."

I'm beginning to think your objections about jeans are based on the fact you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, likely because you've never worn them or seen them worn. Jeans are like any other kind of pants. I think you're conflating all jeans with skinny jeans or something equally ridiculous.
