yeah, this is where the analogy fails because in my view there IS one person here who is "more malicious."

say there's an argument between user X and timjab and after five posts user X's posts have been 0% hostile and tim's have been 100% hostile. user X goes "fuck it, i've had enough of this shit" and makes a hostile post, and the argument goes down the drain. is user X at fault for the argument failing? to some extent, yes - if he had continued to make non-hostile posts the argument may eventually have turned out to be good. but obviously timjab is primarily at fault. you can say this "doesn't matter" but to me this disctinction does matter.

this reminds me of how muffin always makes a big deal how a woman who got raped is "also at fault" for wearing a short skirt and going into an area she knows is super dangerous. i actually agree with him on that, but i think it's ridiculous to say that it "doesn't matter" whether the victim or the rapist is primarily at fault.

I mean you dont have to take my analogy literally but the point of the matter is that so many incidents on this board could be prevented if users just stopped talking to/about a user or just not saying anything. You can tell which users are the ones that get baited and seeing them continuously hitting their head/building the fire is just so depressing

Granted, there are times where you have to talk about something cause theres no way it can be overlooked (or theyre saying lies about you/other users), but you dont have to keep aggressively arguing with them

It depends on what you liked from the Wii U. As of right now there's BOTW (also on Wii U, but pretty fun even if I feel it kinda loses its luster as it goes on. early game is best part IMO but I'm one of those goofy idiots who likes to explore every corner of the open world before starting main quest), MK8 Deluxe (MK8 with a battle mode), Splatoon 2 (Splatoon but more colorful I think), and Mario (It's Mario) from what I have. Xenoblade 2 for what I'm hyped for. I've heard good things about the Rabbids game too?

It's probably been the best launch year for any Nintendo console ever but that's not saying much. 2018 is a bit of a concern but with all of Nintendo's support focused on the switch hopefully we'll see some cool things (Console Pokemon for example!)
