Sad to see Cid go, but after we hit 50 he went down in my priority list. Just glad to see him get this far honestly. Wish he could do better but I care more about boosting Barret and Ramza.

I'm going to be in California for the next week so I won't be making many saves since I'll be reliant on wifi and discord notifications and I know I won't have access during a few of the days. If I do make a round I won't be offering any NRs since I can't guarantee attendance for any round and no auto trades unless I can guarantee a save during a timeframe.

I suppose that's true. Even though Sephiroth is 7th on my list, he'd still be a top 50ish character for me overall for the series, probably. It's a pretty loaded cast up to that point. It drops off a little bit after him, but still, good cast.

I haven't ranked the entire series' characters since the pre-XIII days, so I'm probably overdue in that department.

I think hate is too strong of a word for Barret! He's not unbearable (like Palom) and he doesn't make the game worse (like Zidane), I just don't like him. There are very few characters I actually hate

It's amusing how most of us Yuffie fans rank Barret high. We clearly have the superior taste even if some people don't think so

at this point I'm not sure if I'm more disturbed by all the low Barret rankings or the high Yuffie rankings

I didn't know there was such an epidemic of bad FFVII character rankings

Really? There are tons of bad characters, I don't hate them all! Like I'm willing to use Barret in battle if I have to or he's the best option available. On the other hand, I will just let Palom die or have him kill himself because I actually hate him and would rather be down a member than use him >_>

I don't think I've ever hated a character that much.

like Algus is probably my least favorite party member of any kind in FF and I'd never kill him just to get rid of him

In Record Keeper I intentionally left my Terra at level 1, even going so far as to 4 man challenge events that required you to bring Terra and having Terra use Petrify on herself to prevent her from gaining EXP yet still accomplishing the objective to bring Terra.

That's about the only time it's ever happened, and it was practically just for a challenge as much as anything else. Even in FFVI I never kill her off-- I just remove her from my party whenever possible.

Also can vouch as a Yuffie fan that we do tend to rate Barret higher than most of the cast if my ranking says anything

That being said he'd have to make a pretty deep run for me to ever consider saving him. I do like him, though. But he's not close enough to my favorite to get many saves from me. Probably 4th or 5th best in his own game, and even Yuffie and Seph have trouble getting saves from me every time.

great cast though, i like everyone except Red XIII and Vincent
