Went I first brought up the absurdity of that dossier tall tale to you, you immediately retorted with, "that's just a 4chan troll!!!". You were very upset to find out otherwise because you knew how much it damaged the dossier's credibility.

collusion in the uranium one case is the wrong word.

corruption is a more accurate word considering it was fundamentally a business deal with a compromised party, not interference in an election

both are kind of illegal but our political corruption laws are so weak that it probably wouldn't even be fully illegal under existing law, barring certain evidence pieces coming to light

it's really not appropriate to compare to this, and the merits of this shouldn't be getting muddied with that. it's a red herring falacy, albeit a worthy discussion topic independently.

but i tend to think that when people bring it up it's so they can keep the subject away from this, when it's much better to discuss merits of this case as they stand

and really where it stands is either manafort knows more or he doesn't; if he doesn't there's not likely to be much to come of this. we can really only speculate on that, though.

They're going to attempt to flip him publicly. This filing had to do with the statute of limitations coming up on those charges. You can't tell me a dude who got away with shit for years suddenly stopped in 2015 and 2016.

And never forget that Manafort had an apartment in Trump Tower in NY since 2006 and Manaforts own daughter used to speak about "private elevator rides" the two would take to discuss "business" dating back as early as 2010.

As in his company. US banks stopped loaning him money due to the risk he posed years ago, and Trump had to seek money from foreign banks. The problem arises that in many of the places where he got these loans the governments themselves are directly involved in allocating the funds.
