My GS usually does 9PM closing releases but for some reason they did Wolfenstein at 10PM and then closed again and did AC and Mario at midnight.

Had to work at 10:30 so that kind of screwed me.

Is the first switch game I feel like you really need to play with the joycons separate. That's actually kind of neat.

i got the game at midnight, currently at sand kingdom

game is fantastic so far

i bought a pro controller alongside the game but really i'm enjoying using the detached joycons too much to stop

after playing for an hour with cappy i looked at the actions menu and had no idea there were a bunch more abilities available. didn't realize you could throw overhead or roll on the ground, also didn't know how to control cappy once thrown. really fun stuff. reminds me of when i first played galaxy/2.

because of how dense these worlds are I'm happy that almost every little thing I try usually ends up with a a reward

like I decided to throw my hat on top of the fountain in mexico town and my hat started charging if I held it there so I continued to hold it and resulted in a moon

Its pretty good. I had never tried detaches joycons before and Im surprised at how natural it feels.

I was never a fan of the joycons joysticks so I've been using the pro controller

I've had no problems doing any of the motion commands

I started using the pro controller and after like 10 minutes I was like "This isn't going to work" and switched.

It's so much easier to do things like homing throws, spins, and vertical throws when you're not shaking the entire controller. Also, using one handed throws just feels badass.

I kinda want to plug in my gamecube controller and see how that goes

so far my loop when arriving in a new kingdom has been

-explore as much of the kingdom as possible without going to the main objective

- complete the main objectives for that kingdom

- revisit whole map + explore new areas that were locked off due to whatever problem the main objective was causing

- try to find all moons and purple coins if I can

-if I'm totally stuck or out of ideas visit the parrot to know the name of a moon and try to find it

-emergency situation if I still can't find the moon from the name then pay 50 coins to the hint toad to know its general location

-parrot stops telling you the names of moons when you have all you can obtain

you definitely did that moon the hard way. I just rode the glide-a-saur that appears after you finish that boss
