both Secret Rings and Black Knight start very poorly but as you play you unlock better controls for Sonic by upgrading his stats and they get much better

I wanted to play Secret Rings and Black Knight, but I'd be doing it on an emulator, which might actually make it a good game, but at the same time it's no longer a valid opinion of the game because it's not the actual game. If that makes sense.

Secret Rings is weird to emulate. I had it set up to play using a 360 controller, with the stick replacing the tilt controls, and it worked brilliantly... until I reached one obstacle that requires a flicking motion that can't be 'faked' through control mapping, so you still need a real Wiimote connected via Bluetooth... and I don't have a Bluetooth receiver.

Black Knight emulated is fine.

Sonic's sections are mostly decently playable (barring ridiculous glitches anyway) except for mach speed sections and there is a faint sense of FINALLY when you beat a mach speed section.

Shadow's and Silver's are awful though, as well as trying to do anything in town due to the absurd amount of loading.
