Iron Man after him but Iron Man while entertaining is a pretty big jerk and doesn't make very reasonable decisions a lot of the time, although arguably nobody was making reasonable decisions for the MCU Civil War plot to work. I know Pepper vanishing from the story was because they didn't want to hire Gwyneth Paltrow again during those times in real life but without Pepper around to balance out Tony it feels like he goes full jerk mode. --- The only fool bigger than the person who knows it all is the person who argues with him.
