I asked a question about Pokmon Black/White on the White 2 board.

A topic was asking who Sephiroth's parents were, and marked that the topic would contain spoilers. So I answered the question, without marking spoilers on my specific post, and was modded for it.

Another time, I had a topic on the Skyrim board asking which stats skill tree they used most in real life. Like speech, or sneaking, archery, etc. just a dumb topic, and it was deleted for being off topic.

Another time, people were arguing about whether or not suicide is cowardly or brave, and people were becoming hostile over their opinions. I tried to step in and say that none of us can fully understand the impact we have on each other, or fully know what people are dealing with. I did word it strangely, but I was modded for it due to someone misunderstanding me and thinking I was calling suicidal people stupid.

I pointed out that Dr. Light from Megaman was called Dr. Right in Japan. Someone thought I was mocking Japanese people and modded me. I didn't even understand what they were modding me for until like three years later.

I found it funny as hell, if nothing else.

I got a 3kl overturned by simply contesting with "<_<" years ago. Don't remember the moderation.

Anyhow, I rarely get modded and the times I do, it was definitely warranted. It's really not that hard to avoid moderation and the frequency of complaints from some users on this board makes me worry for their mental state.

For, and I quote the mod, "Making somebody sound evil." The context for the moderation involved a poster describing the term "ally" as inherently good and I responded that "Saruman was Sauron's ally. Was he good?" Other than the fact that fictional characters were involved and referring to somebody as "evil" has never -- as far as I know -- been against the rules, I wasn't even referring to any specific person but instead pointing out an inherent flaw in the argument.
