Change your diet over to fresh foods (meat & produce) as a primary step. I wouldn't even cut back on the amount of food you eat initially, just switch it over to the fresh category.

Type 1 is different that way, it's autoimmune disease where your pancreas stops producing insulin. Type 2 starts with insulin resistance usually caused by factors like bad lifestyle, overweight etc, eventually pancreas would stop producing insulin as well. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I got it too homeboy. Sux. I got to take Metformin 3 times a day. But it could be worse. I got diagnosed when I was 40. So, caught it sort of early for me too. I've changed my diet, cut out sugars and carbs (not all, but a significant reduction). Lost a little bit of weight. Last a1c was fine a couple of months ago. If I meet my weight loss goal I'm gonna see if I still need to take meds.
