I think I figured out a big part of why I can't really get into the rhythm of this

The pre-built angle outlines suck so I'm either using freestyle angles for a bunch of stuff, or slowly building up a collection of angles that I like
The pre-loaded gimmicks suck.
Too many hardwired chemistries. Half my roster has "good" chemistry with each other in some way and it wasn't randomized that way.

I really kinda hate this mod in a lot of ways. Hopefully some imports from The Golden Age tomorrow will fix this. Should be able to slog out Smackdown tonight though. (can't import anything in the show booking screen and that's where I am right now)

Smackdown Week 4 September 2017

Jinder Mahal is out to start the show, uncharacteristically alone, with Sunil and Samir Singh still injured from their beating from Nakamura last week. Nonetheless, he says that he is starting the Maharaja Open Challenge, tonight-- the one to answer will receive a title shot! Randy Orton answers the call! He heads to the ring and asks for the ref... Mahal acts very big and tough, and isn't scared... he gets right in Orton's face as from the entryway we see a gigantic figure heading towards the ring. It's The Great Khali! He steps over the ropes-- while distracted by Mahal, Orton hears the massive body step over the top rope. Orton turns to face him, but is hit with the KHALI CHOP~. Mahal laughs it up, and stomps Orton a bit, claiming victory before the match begins. (79)

Baron Corbin d. Tye Dillinger for a shot at AJ's US Title as Corbin beats him by count out after a nasty spill, then mocks him by shouting "10" like a douche. (56)

Breezango are back stage... muttering something about 2B... then they come across Aiden English. They shout they still have unfinished 2Business with him, and challenge him to a tag match, next! Aiden English doesn't quite know what to do, but quickly recruits Mike Kanellis (44) Breezango (w/ The Ascension) d. Aiden English & Mike Kanellis after Aiden English leaves shortly after the match starts, saying it was not 2B. (46) Breezango celebrate their victory very briefly... then realize Aiden English is still on the loose and wonder what exactly went wrong there... (48)

Shane McMahon is leaving due to some sort of emergency with Vince at the hospital, but before he leaves he books a match between Kevin Owens and Shinsuke Nakamura TONIGHT. Sami Zayn comes in to warn him to stop antagonizing Owens, but Shane blows him off (70) Another vignette of Rusev in Bulgaria. He asks a random person if they love Rusev or Randy Orton more. The person says Randy Orton-- Rusev hits him with an RKO OUT OF NOWHERE! (85)

AJ Styles holds his open challenge, which miraculously Baron does not interrupt... it is answered by GLORIOUS. A very competitive match has AJ Styles barely ekeing out a win. AJ d. Bobby Roode to retain. (70)

GONG. Undertaker's music hits... a hooded figure slowly approaches the ring... but... it's eventually (though perhaps not as immediately as he hasn't done this yet in this) clear that it is not Undertaker, but Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler rips into the Undertaker for never being here, rips into the crowd for digging fossilized has been gimmicks like him. He says he's the best, but he's not going to be playing into the crowd's love of stupid gimmicks anymore. He's not going to steal the show or entertain... he's just going to WIN. However, he's interrupted by... Sami Zayn! Zayn chastises Ziggler for berating Taker and the fans, and says maybe Ziggler hasn't been overlooked-- maybe he just isn't good enough. Ziggler leaves without a retort. (81)

Usos and The New Day agree to one final Hell In A Cell match to resolve their feud, at Hell in the Cell (68)

Becky Lynch approaches Charlotte backstage, saying last week's 10 way didn't settle anything, and challenging her to a 1v1 (48) Charlotte d. Becky Lynch (59) Renee Young interviews Natalya & Carmella who make fun of Charlotte & Becky for looking so lame out there (39)

Kevin Owens vs Shinsuke Nakamura. Randy Orton is out there for commentary. Shinsuke proves to be a wise choice for Shane to punish Owens through, as he kicks and knees the crap out of him. Eventually Orton says he's bored of watching this, and starts to head to the back... as he's leaving he "drops" his drink which goes rolling into the ring-- he grabs for it, which hooks Nakamura's leg, then Owens capitalizes on this brief distraction with a pop-up powerbomb for the win (69) Nakamura yells at Orton for getting in the way. Orton shrugs, says he wasn't even watching the match. Nakamura gets more pissed. Orton glares through him as the show cuts out (82)

Well, even with the slowdown, that's a month cut off in 2 weeks, so I should be caught up by Survivor Series.

And don't worry I have no plans for Khali to wrestle in matches. I just wanted him as Jinder's muscle for a bit and he was there for Summerslam (though I did have to hire him-- he wasn't on the roster) so yeah. As I said I'm going to have a very slight bit of lenience when it comes to non in-ring roles.

Paul Heyman starts the show. His client is absent. He shouts about how Kurt Angle's reckless management and poor referee selection has caused his client to lose a match he never should've lost, and to suffer injuries he should've never suffered... and he is coming with the intent to SUE! Kurt comes out and tries to call him down-- Heyman is having none of it, and says Kurt should prepare legal counsel! Just then BRAUGHHHH!!! Strowman marches to the ring... Heyman starts to cower and shout at Kurt to get security... Strowman scoops Heyman up and hits him with a Running Powerslam. Kurt is like "what the hell was that?"-- Strowman grabs the mic to reply-- "Legal Counsel."-- and leaves. (96)

I laughed out loud at work so hard I got stares.

Actually I would have a show ready but I wasted a bunch of time cleaning up the angles section, cleaning up the gimmicks section, doing imports, etc etc. It's a lot less ugly to book now.

Half a Raw is booked but yeah I wanna sleep now.

Random tidbit I made 2.5 million dollars last month despite giving all my roster a 10000 bonus and getting crappy show ratings for the first half of the month. At least that part is true WWE can just do whatever it wants.

I'm wondering if this was a bad idea. Once I passed No Mercy it's kinda like... well, I rebooked the PPV I really hated and didn't hate the stuff as much since then. So motivation isn't as high to play.

But main thing I wanna do is try and carry this through Mania and see how different the cards end up being.

Also I think once caught up being able to side by side shows will be fun. This next month is kind of a slog though!

WWE Raw October Week 1 2017

We open the show with Strowman demanding competition for his title, he calls out Kurt Angle, who will give him that competition, OR ELSE. Kurt tries to calm him down, saying he can't make a match on such short notice-- Ambrose interrupts and says Kurt may not, but he can, and he'll do what Rollins couldn't last week. Strowman accepts this COMPETITION. (81)

We cut to a vignette... Bray Wyatt is rocking back and forth in his rocking chair, staring, in some random backwoods place. We pan around to see what he's staring at, it shows a wall which says "MOTIVATION." in giant white letters. When we cut back to the rocking chair, there's only a silhouette, but it appears the rocking chair has been replaced... with a director's chair? (65)

Slater & Rhyno d. The Revival (53) Sheamus & Cesaro assault Roman backstage. It's eventually broken up before Roman gets hurt too badly. (70)

Miz is attempting to hype up The Miztourage to avenge their loss to that inferior Titus Brand last week. Bo is getting hyped, but Axel isn't entirely getting into it. (47) Titus O Neil and Tozawa d. The Miztourage in decisive fashion for the second week in a row. (45) Alicia Fox d. Emma (47)

Rollins & Ambrose are backstage discussing how to beat Strowman. Roman Reigns shows up, says it's cool they want to beat Strowman, but maybe they should clean up their messes first cause Sheamus & Cesaro seem to be starting crap with him because of them. Rollins agrees and says he'll handle this, Ambrose has a match, heads to the ring to call out Sheamus. Sheamus comes out with Cesaro and accepts. (72) Sheamus vs Seth Rollins. Competitive match, but late Rollins starts to get a clear edge. Cesaro interferes at that moment, and it's a blatant DQ as the two assault him. (69)

Roman Reigns's music hits a bit after the assault. Roman is apparently coming to help Rollins, but is sorta just doing his normal entrance. He eventually gets there to scatter the assailants and face Cesaro in a match (77) Roman Reigns vs Cesaro in a main event caliber competitive match that has Roman eventually winning after a strong showing from Cesaro (77)

Squabbling between Bliss and Mickie about Mickie's "owed" title shot. Bliss says to shut Mickie up, she'll give Mickie a title shot if Mickie can beat Bliss and Nia in a tag match. Mickie accepts! And before she needs to find a tag partner, Bayley returns! Bayley says she'll be Mickie's tag partner. Mickie seems cool with this-- but Sasha's music hits. Sasha says she's been keeping up with Bayley's rehab, and Bayley shouldn't rush returning from her shoulder injury. Sasha will team up with Mickie for her dear friend Bayley instead. Bayley shrugs but is convinced Sasha has her best interests in mind and lets Sasha take the match while she heads to commentary. (60) While Corey Graves grills Bayley on her rehab, Bayley says she thought she was okay to fight, but it is smart to not rush back! Meanwhile, Mickie & Sasha d. Alexa & Nia when Nia randomly leaves the match, allowing Sasha to tap out Alexa in a 2v1. (55) (Corey graves and Bayley have great chemistry at the announce table. Sure. Whatever.)

Enzo is out cutting a promo, saying how he's ABOVE all those LOSERWEIGHTS, HOW YOU DOIN. He says he's gonna fight outside his division now, fight real heavyweights, HOW YOU DOIN. He's interrupted by Bray Wyatt's music. However, he comes out carrying a gold lantern, and it's clear it's actually Goldust pretty quickly. (77) Goldust, doing many a Wyatt mannerism for some reasons, d. Enzo pretty quickly, randomly raving with stuff like "HE JUST A MAN!!" and "EATER OF WORLDS!!" a lot, and winning with Sister Abigail. (75) Goldust leaves. After the break, Enzo gets up, cuts the cruiserweight division down by name one by one, claims he's making the Cruiserweight division RELEVANT. Neville comes out and agrees Enzo is making it relevant... a relevant JOKE. He's not going to take Enzo tearing down a division that's been dormant on Raw for over 10 years... he's going to beat that disrespect right out of him. He rushes the ring and assaults Enzo (70) (Double turn goes here, both turns were complete success, Neville's Arch Competitor gimmick has gotten an initial rating of Very Good) The Cruiserweight division joins in and helps maul Enzo (37)

Gallows & Anderson come out, make fun of this NERD convention-- challenge any two of the nerds beating up that grease monkey to a tag match (45) Anderson & Gallows d. Jack Gallagher & Mustafa Ali (40)

WHO WANTS TO WALK WITH ELIAS!?! (54) Finn Balor d. Elias as Jason Jordan comes to the ring and heckles Elias (69)

Braun Strowman vs Ambrose in a typical exciting Strowman match where he mauls and runs into things-- Ambrose gets a decent amount of offense in, but Strowman wins to retain (73) Roman Reigns comes out to stare down Strowman after the match from the entryway. Strowman roars at him. (84)

I don't want to promise anything but I've been reorganizing the spreadsheets at work (I made a duplicate you guys can't see with some extra fields because I don't want to spoil things) so I think it'll be less of a headache to book the show I want in the coming shows.

Booking WWE is actually a lot more unwieldy than I'm used to. Like I don't think I've ever had a show with more than like 60 guys. WWE has like 100 and then a super large developmental on top of that.

Smackdown Week 1 October 2017

Shane McMahon is in the ring, giving an update on his father's condition, who is stable but still at the hospital, and ripping into Owens saying he's going to destroy him. He's interrupted by Daniel Bryan, who explains that there really aren't a lot of matches on the card this Sunday yet and he thinks that Shane's obsession with Owens has been distracting him from his duties as GM-- matchmaking in particular. Shane acknowledges Bryan's concern, but says he's been trying here-- he off the cuff announces Dolph Ziggler vs Sami Zayn, Nakamura vs Orton, AJ vs Corbin vs Dillinger, to go with the already announced matches. Bryan approves, but before he can discuss particulars Shane also announces Owens vs Orton tonight and has to leave. (74)

Corbin storms Bryan's office and asks why the hell Dillinger was added to the match. Bryan doesn't know exactly, but says he'll give Corbin one more match against Tye tonight, and if Corbin wins, Tye will be kept out of the match. (71)

Corbin vs Tye Dillinger. A fairly even match ends with Tye drop toe holding Baron into the steps and getting the count out victory this time. Tye stays in the match, mocking Corbin with TENS. (56)

Another Rusev in Bulgaria vignette. He has gone to a Bulgarian pet store. He asks for a viper, stressing he needs it for research and training. The shop owner says they don't have those. Rusev is livid! (73) Natalya & Carmella d. Becky Lynch and Charlotte after Carmella steals a pin when Becky gets whacked by a briefcase from Carmella. (42) (Natalya & Carmella terrible chemistry)

Jinder Mahal is in the ring with The Great Khali, saying it's time for Week 2 of the Maharaja Open Challenge. Sami Zayn comes out, saying he's decided to take control of his career, and he'll be taking the challenge! He starts by chopping Khali at the knees, then goes for Mahal, but the Singh brothers have returned and assault him. The 4 brutally assault Zayn, who must limp out, as Mahal once again stands tall. Mahal gloats and announces he will be issuing another such challenge at Hell in the Cell and wishes his next opponent luck! (60)

Hype Bros vs Usos. Usos win easily, pinning Mojo as Ryder trips and make the save. Ryder walks out, pissed. (48)

Breezango encounter Aiden English backstage-- they challenge Aiden English to another tag match, making him promise not to leave. Aiden grabs James Ellsworth and accepts, and gives his honor that he will not leave this time. (48) Breezango (w/The Ascension) d. Aiden English and James Ellsworth, as Aiden English leaves again. (36) Fandango and Breeze celebrate, as Breeze proclaims the mystery solved-- the Ascension point out that Aiden English just left again and even if he hadn't it wouldn't be solved. Fandango ponders deeply, stroking his chin. (50)

Rusev in Bulgaria. Rusev is in the process of leaving the pet store, perhaps having been arguing this whole time, still halfway in the door, and still shouting at the shopkeeper in Bulgarian. He slams the door, and walks away continuing to shout at no one in particular in a broken English/Bulgarian mix, but is carrying a kitten in a cage for some reason. (83) AJ Styles says he's not going to sit complacent and wait for Hell and the Cell, and issues an open challenge. Mike Kanellis comes out to no reaction. (60) AJ Styles easily d. Mike Kanellis to retain the US Title (67)

Kevin Owens vs Randy Orton. Similar to last week, Owens looking competitive but perhaps outmatched, sneaks out the win when Nakamura comes out and starts doing his spaz dance to a live violinist during Orton's comeback, distracting Orton. (77)
