Board 8 > Just marathoned the entire first season of The Good Place

Thoroughly enjoyable little comedy. It has the same sense of humor as Pushing Daisies.

If you've ever wondered why anyone liked Ted Danson (as I did), I now have an answer. He is fantastic in this. More importantly, there's a character named Janet on this show, and the combined writing/acting of this character is legitimately melds to create the best new comedic character of the last year.

It doesn't have a narrator; I just found the humor to remind me a lot of Pushing Daisies humor.

The Good Place is pretty fun. Half the reason I like it I think is I can't really name any show I'd say is similar to it.

I'll have to check out this Pushing Daisies for curiosity's sake if nothing else.

Ooh, I did the same last week! Absolutely incredibly fun and entertaining show with a great batch of characters and actors pulling them off spectacularly. Kristen Bell and Ted Danson are amazing and Janet is incredible and Chidi is everything and it's just insanely devious.

I watched the first episode and it had a good concept but everything else was really terrible and didn't seem to have any real hook

I only tried it because it sounded similar to Dead Like Me which is one of my fav shows

The Good Place is awesome! I really love it, and yeah Ted Danson is fantastic in it.

I've always liked him but he just feels so natural in this role, I think it's his best.

Haven't watched season 2 yet but I'm optimistic.

I've heard good things about Bored to Death, just never got around to it.

Becker isn't so much him as much as the writing. Really contrived.

I'm really enjoying the second season a ton. It's still a lot of fun and I actually love what they've done with Vicky/Real Eleanor. My favorite part was her at the start of the reset when she's in charge. She's the absolute worst and the best.
