I generally don't support it, but I'm not wholly against the idea that some kids are just plain evil and need to be smacked.
For instance, if I found out my kid was the neighborhood sociopath who went around beating up the other children for his own sadistic pleasure I'd beat the shit out of him. Or encourage the other kids to gang up on him and wreck his shit. ... Copied to Clipboard!

some people use it way too much as and just instill fear, but I dont think its never an option,I probably wouldnt spank my kids, but then again, I dont have kids so all I know is how I grew up.

I am for the idea of spanking but against the practice, because while there are parents who can effectively use it as a tool there are a hell of a lot more parents who are going to fuck up their kids with it.

Yes and no. Having been raised by the typical Asian parents I have had many of beatings and would prefer avoiding the same done to any kids I might have in the future. But at the same time, sometimes I feel words can only do so much to explain why one shouldn't do something and pain might be the only way to convey that lesson.
I'd say so long as said spanking, hitting, etc doesn't leave marks and used only as a last resort, spanking is fine but talking over with the kid about why one should or shouldn't do something and getting the kid to understand it would be far better in the long run. And like some have said already, the kid gotta understand the meaning behind the spanking. Getting them to understand is the most important part. As an example, I once played with the fire on our stove and I got a good beating from my mom. A mistake like that might not have a second chance for me to learn my lesson. --- "You must gather your party before venturing forth" "Go for the eyes Boo! Go for the eyes!" ... Copied to Clipboard!
