Like, flight or camera angles. More often than not the default for these is hold down to go up/left to go right.

But why? That doesn't make any sense. And its even worse when they don't give you the option to change it. I just tried going back and playing Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on xbox for the first time in years, but oh my god this camera shit is throwing me off and stopping me from enjoying the game. And I don't see an option to change it like there was in SS/CoS.

Why, developers? People are not backwards minded.

If by this you mean up is up and left is left, then yes.

This. Was playing Battlefront 2 beta last night, first time I played a flying game in a long time and switched it to inverted. It just feels right.

For flight and first person view, inverted makes the most sense.

For third person, regular is best.

Imagine the joystick is on the back of the camera. When you push right on the back of the camera, it will start facing left.

I fucking hate inverted controls for the most part, it's only okay when it's for flight imo. If it's camera, aiming, or even worse driving, hell no.

A head is a head, not whatever that thing is. If I hear look up, I'm moving the stick upwards.

It's all just semantics pertaining to head movement. The people that prefer normal controls figure "when I want to look up I just look upwards, so the camera should look upwards when I push upwards". Preference for inverted controls follows the logic that "when I look upwards it's cause I'm tilting my head backwards, so the camera should look upwards as I pull the stick backwards".

So your preference hinges on whether or not you're changing your view via either head or eyeball movement.

Ok, that makes sense for up/down. I still prefer up being up, but I can understand it.

But why would anyone look right to look left? That doesn't even make any sense.

It doesn't matter because you're still going to be looking up. Look how natural the first one is compared to the second. No one considers looking up as tilting backwards, just as looking up.

You're preaching to the choir here breh. But there's enough people out there with the outlook of tilting backwards = looking up that we still even have this debate in the first place.
