Taylor Benge, a young man who survived the Las Vegas Shooting that left 58 people dead and more than 500 people injured said he has been an agnostic-athiest is whole life but said after his brush with death that he is now a FIRM BELIEVER in GOD!!

He attended the Route 91 country music ffestivl and said witnessing and surviving the horror made him embrace his faith

He was clearly still shaken by the events as he spoke to a CNN anchor and said "I was agnostic going into that concert, and i'm a firm believer in God now becausee there's no way that all of that happened, and that i made it, and i was blessed enough to still be here alive talking to you today."

He explained that the vantage point of the shooter made him a quick target and how his sister threw herself ON TOP of him to shield him from the gunfire but they were both miraculously unhurt.

Taylor knew that the gunner was high above the crowd because of how people were being hit while they were ducking for cover.

Taylor said he will now embrace God and start attending church as he thanks God for looking over him that night...

I would think witnessing the greatest mass shooting in American history would turn one away from belief in a benevolent higher power, but to each their own.

Plus there's a kind of arrogance in thinking that you and your sister were miraculously chosen to be spared while all these other people were wiped out.

near death experiences (or situations where they coulda died) do that to people. they become scared of death and thus the hope of a after life becomes very appealing.

it also does surprise me the amount of people that seem to "find god" while FUBAR on drugs.

God let those people die so that they could learn to change their ways.

as far as if I believe in god or not, simple answer is no, but I don't believe all this shit appeared out of no where either. I just don't believe in some divine being that has some special plan for all of us.

Probability, really. At least some people were going to survive.

He probably just saw both lying there and assumed they were injured or dead. Not a bad tactic during a mass shooting.

I wasn't there but if possible I would have ran into the building the shooter was in, can't shoot me from the 32'd floor if i'm inside the building on the first floor.

in all seriousness though idk if I would have thought of anything clever though in such a situation

The problem with that is you'd be running with a group making you a great-looking target to a rampage killer. Then they had locked the doors which would make you a sitting duck.

The problem with that is you'd be running with a group making you a great-looking target to a rampage killer. Then they had locked the doors which would make you a sitting duck.

my point having been had I possibly been a quick thinker and close enough to the doors to do it immediately. as said I wasn't there and I do doubt my ability to think that quickly in a real situation like that.

He said in the interview he was agnostic.

I just watched a video of the aftermath and there were people lying everywhere in pools of blood, dead. It was terrible. Some were still alive and barely breathing, while others were just gone.

It could've just been a very stealthy superhero that saved him.
