I'll never understand how kneeling during the anthem is meant to signal disrespect of the troops so NFL players doing it must be stopped while people flying confederate flags, the symbol of a bunch of traitors that rebelled against the nation just to maintain their bondage of black people, is merely freedom of expression and must be defended at all costs.

I think its because theyre doing it in protest? its all silly to me.

It's one of those things where here saying and doing one thing, but meaning something else entirely.
