lol in my neighborhood its almost impossible to get a cop down here, one of the few times i've seen it happen the cop had to be egged on, by telling him that apparently he didn't have jurisdiction (which the person we where calling the cops on actually said) but before we pissed them off with that they did infact seemed very reluctant to come here.

I don't or wouldn't open carry but I can see why one would want to, on top of the idea that someone is less likely to try some shit if they know someone is armed, there is the fact its easier to pull the gun out.

also in this state though open carry is currently the only legal way to carry a gun if you don't have a conceal permit, so for those its just cheaper.

yeah a guy where I lived once actually got a cop fired because they arrested him for open carrying in walmart. open carry is legal here and walmart did not have any no guns allowed signs on any of their doors.

I love it when cops don't even know the laws they are meant to enforce.

There are solutions at the local Walmart/cabellas/dicks

If everyone in this neighborhood made it clear that we aren't going to fuck around and there is a very real chance of you getting blow away if you break into one of our houses, these drug addicts would move on to a different neighborhood.

I'm fairly certain most people are familiar with the concept of guns. And I also don't think a lot of drug addicts are attending community meetings either.

yeah this is one of the things i'm torn on, I strongly support the 2nd amendment and a persons right to walk around with a gun, but on the other hand just cause you can doesn't mean you always should. I mean the rifle and such, I have zero issue with the handgun. its not a uncommon sight where I live and its never caused issues.

That's not going to make it better. In fact, there are studies out there to show that it makes people even more nervous. I'm not going to bother drudging them up because I know you don't care and I don't care enough to find them either.

Unless you know these people personally, they're only going to be more nervous when they see some random asshole walking around with an 'assault rifle' (their words). The only way you're going to change anyone's mind is to be personally involved with them.

I've been able to turn a couple of people by taking them out shooting in a controlled environment. Not by walking around my neighborhood in a kevlar vest and a string of banana magazines.

I purchase most of my firearms from cabellas or police auctions and my body armor is 100% military grade from a police auction, ok? It can stop a 12g slug from 5 feet away.

I'm still human shaped, a large human, but still a human. If anything my increase in mass has only benefitted my judo game. You can argue that I'm not as flexible (and you'd be correct) but my jujitsu isn't effected that much from it.

I actually knew a big guy, who weighed nearly 300 lbs when he got his black belt. guy was in better shape than I was, and I was a twig back then. he could do splits and all that shit, I have never been able to do a split.

I sparred with him once and he actually landed a full on jumping and flying through the air kick to my face. I could read the brand of his shoes off my face in the mirror.
