House had been fizzling out for a while, but the finale itself was strong. The only issue was that they couldn't get Cuddy back, but I think the actress just refused? Futurama had like, four episodes that were written as series finales given its status of getting canceled and revived over and over, and all four were honestly pretty great. Justice League Unlimited closed off at a great point, with a pretty epic conclusion to a story arc namely, the heroes and villains team up to fight a Brainiac-Darkseid combination's army and, in the last scene, they decide to give the villains a five minute headstart to make their escape in gratitude for their help. Broadly speaking, short-run tv shows tend to have better endings than long ones. The UK version of The Office is a good example, especially since it handles the aftermath of the documentary in a more logical fashion than the US show (and the time-frame covered makes more sense). So that's up there. I liked Mad Men's finale quite a bit. The Wire's finale is great, but it's hurt by the final season being the weakest.
