So when trolls like Vlado, Ulti, or whoever want to imply the investigation was done perniciously towards Trump, you know how plainly wrong they are.

They don't test everyday people, no. Football players and people who do pro-wrestling and combat sports are most vulnerable because of the constant, repetitive head trauma.

It's very rare to find a brain of a dead participant in those sports that doesn't have it.

If you're asking if pain pill abuse can lead to CTE, no, it can't, but it obviously carries other risks.

Donald Trump began August with his lowest favorability rating to date, largely due to uneducated white people dipping on him. His ratings were up at the end of the month though, so what happened this month? Probably good stuff, right?

Largely no. Here's what happened: Charlottesville, Charlottesville, Charlottesville, Charlottesville, and Charlottesville.

In a month that had Donald equating the alt-right with whoever he thinks is calling themselves the alt-left, a number of organizations spoke up more responsibly than him. Tiki torches, OkCupid, GoDaddy, Discord, Cloudflare, and Mike Godwin of Godwin's Law made stronger and more accurate statements against the influx of Nazis than our leader of the free world.


What led to this event? Surely a lot more than we can know, but here's the related stuff I have saved from this month:

Daryl Johnson had a police report leak in 2009 that right-wing violence was on the rise; fast forward to 2017, where he claims his report was proven correct despite Republican objections. This is also supported by the ADL, which said 74% of murders by domestic extremists between 2007-2016 were Republican extremists.

August 2017 revealed that Donald cut funds in June to deradicalize white supremacists back. At the beginning of August, Sam Clovis was hired who had a history of calling progressives race-traitors. The week before Charlottesville's chaos happened, the alt-right collected information on the city leaders with some offensive labels. Just before that same weekend, Jeffrey Lord got fired from CNN for saying "Sieg heil" and Sebastian Gorka told the New York Times not to be so hard on white supremacists. During the weekend, the Daily Stormer and David Duke praised Donald for his equivalencies and lack of blame on the alt-right (Richard Spencer praised the next weekend too). It was then revealed through various online conversations that violence was intended at Charlottesville. Later analysis suggested right-wing extremists are far along according to multiple pre-existing models of radicalization.

Poll-wise, we found out around this period that 68% of Trump-voters think there's a lot of racism against white people and 75% of them think news media poses a greater threat than white supremacy. Furthermore, 60% of people who approve of Trump say they'll never stop approving and 67% of Republicans approved of how Donald reacted to the weekend.

To Donald's credit, he let Steve Bannon go after this...but not without defending him first. Even still, Steve returned to Breitbart that same day and declared war on Donald's "Democrat White House."

Also, there was Russia. Donald helped Donald Jr. draft his letter about his famous meeting with the Russian lawyer for dirt on Hillary. Later in the month, he thanks Vladimir Putin for dismissing US diplomats. Some of Donald's past calls leaked too, which has plenty of kind words for Russia. Robert Mueller gets his special council on all over Michael Flynn. Paul Manafort's home got raided for evidence, then he lost his lawyer the next day. DailyStormer.RU allowed that site to return after other American services booted them. Rex Tillerson denied $80,000,000 to fight against Russian and ISIS propaganda. Carter Page was investigated about being a Russian spy in 2013. Russian oligarch Len Blavatnik donated $6,350,000 to various GOP campaigns. Russian bots and likely-paid users have a concentrated network out to influence social media. Donald also sought a deal for a Trump Tower in Moscow. Felix Sater said he will manage the process where Russia can engineer Donald winning the Presidency. The GOP seeks to stop the Mueller investigation after 180 days.

Also, there's North Korea. Donald leaked information about them before threatening them with fire and fury, then he wondered if his words were tough enough. These counties continue their pissing match as Donald threw shade on Venezuela soon after too.

Also, groups disbanded. Strategic and Policy Forum, Manufacturing Council, Presidential Arts and Humanities Committee, Commerce Department, and National Infrastructure Advisory Council for cyber security faced multiple resignations if not complete disbandment. Donald also wanted to take away committee chairmanships to punish the GOP over the healthcare debacle.

Also, Donald made his first pardon. He originally tried to get Jeff Sessions to close Joe Arpaio's case earlier in the year, but eventually he freed his birther bro.

Also, hurricanes happened. Houston was underwater from a historic flood by Hurricane Harvey, with Irma and Maria coming within a month as well. During this tragedy, Donald had two important vacancies in his hurricane center staff and wouldn't recognize how powerful the hurricane was until it happened. Still, hurricane coverage led to some of his best coverage so this is probably why his ratings went up in August.

*Donald takes a 17-day vacation and denies it.
*Donald refuses to give John Kelly access to his Twitter account.
*Donald cut more of Obama's programs like White House bike-sharing, fighting teen pregnancy, and banning military weapons from the police.
*Carl Icahn does insider trading in the Trump Administration.
*Jeff Sessions threatens the press over leaks.
*Betsy DeVos fuels for-profits college comeback.
*Once Democratic West Virginia Governor Jim Justice switched to become a Republican.
*Mitch McConnell gets hated on for failing with healthcare repeal.
*Secret Service depletes funds.
*Fox News gets called out over "fake news" of Seth Rich.
*Fox couldn't book a Republican to speak for the second time this administration (the first was after James Comey was fired).
*Boy Scouts denied calling Donald, who said they called and praised him.
*Durham protesters topple a Robert E. Lee statue, then turn themselves in en masse.

And the month ends with Donald's threats to DACA. Little did we know what bipartisan curveballs were ahead on this issue.....


Again though, Donald's ratings went UP from the beginning to the end of August. DNC's getting trounced in fundraising by the RNC too, plus Debbie Wasserman-Schultz had an intern get indicted for bank fraud. Don't just look at this month as purely just a Republican disaster; Democrats could capitalize better too.
