None of those things are contradictory. There aren't stories where groups on the left are protesting and then violently assaulted by right-wing groups, at least not that I can recall. If there were, my opinion would be the same.

And yes, I would vilify blocking traffic or defacing property if the right did it also. It's not really my fault that only one side is engaging in that behavior.

When the alt right started it was simply a movement that separated itself from the far right and republicans. The core message of the alt right was to slow down immigration, invigorate people to be proud of their countries and culture, and to preserve their identity against corrupt leaders who would strip it from them. All noble goals.

Then the actual racists saw it as a mainstream movement and hijacked the platform. Racists like Richard Spencer and David duke.

It's the same shit that happened with BLM. Shitty people always try to hijack successful movements to spread their own brand of hate and bigotry. It also approved to the SJW's.

Attack the bad parts and listen to the good parts of movements and denounce/separate the cancerous people that identify as part of it.
