I wouldn't. It's fun to imagine what a Metroid movie could be, but once it's made, that becomes the default for what people think of when they hear "Metroid movie," which takes away that ability to imagine. Better to leave it unmade and let the dreamers dream happier dreams.

they could do like some movies and do a happy medium. have her take her helmet off during any non action scene involving dialogue. or something like that. as long as she'd be in full armor for the action parts i'd be satisfied.

You could make a case for that, true, depending on your TV, emulator, Virtual Console, etc.

But I go with yellow because the suit is definitely red and yellow in the manual.

Her iconic colour is orange even in the regular non-Varia version, it's only yellow or a very pale orange in the minority of it's depictions.

If they do a Metroid movie, they should just have the actress in the armor the entire movie, and she only takes it off after the ending credits. Then and only then do you know who actually played Samus in the movie. Don't even have her name in the ending credits or promotional material.

Granted it wouldn't be as shocking in the Internet age, but they should at least make it like how it happens in a proper Metroid game, you don't see Samus until after the credits are done.

As for the question at hand, yellow. Samus isn't orange unless she is wearing the Varia suit.

Of course, if doing a metroid backstory, then a child actress would be best - as you have her 'death' on K-2L and rebirth on Zebes, with the Climax being the destruction of the first Mother Brain... and her childhood home.

now that you mention it, I am a tad disappointed the virtual console release of games don't have the manual as far as i'm aware, when psp released ps1 games for digital download they came with digital manuals
