The second world power and their only ally China already said they will not defend North Korea if North Korea attacks the US, Japan or South Korea first. they will only help them if they are invaded first, but they are getting tired of them.

China is the only reason to not strike first, because a war whit china would be an expensive stalemate and waste of money

What about the hidden missiles and miles upon miles of artillery pointed right at seoul? I mean ya you could probably reduce north korea to ashes within a month if you wanted to, but they will take millions of people with them.

I'm torn. On the one hand, NK will probably never do anything. On the other hand, everyone now says "why didn't Britain and France stop Hitler before he was too powerful." Everything is a gamble.

In one of the only times I will ever agree with Steve Bannon, he was absolutely correct when he said "Until somebody solves the part of the equation that shows me that ten million people in Seoul don’t die in the first 30 minutes from conventional weapons, I don’t know what you’re talking about, there’s no military solution here, they got us."

He's not wrong. The only way war is coming to the Korean peninsula is if NK starts it.

Morally, toppling the regime is the right thing to do. The cost will be thousands of lives that will end in the initial artillery barrage from the North. So it deserves thought... but I honestly feel a third world war is inevitable.

Who do you think would bother to start a third world war and for what purpose?

Peacetime is profitable and the world economies are so tightly intertwined now, all the major powers wouldn't dare to ever lift a finger against any of the others. The closest you'll likely ever see to a genuine conflict between major powers are proxy wars like Syria or Ukraine.

Invade NK with a force big enough to fight china too and let china make their choice after. IF Seoul even is hit, it's better now than when even more is invested in the city and the artillery is bigger.

North Korea has literally zero allies. China is not going to defend them. It would be a "World vs North Korea" war, not "World War III".
