I was watching some Life is stranger gameplay on Twitch, this girl is just sitting around in her PJs playing and get donated $100 and $500 in the space of about 30 minutes. That's $600 for playing a video game, something most people pay to do, it's insane. Who are these people that have nothing better to spend money on than adding more gold to twitch streamers piles.

EDIT: I messaged the guy who gave $100 and asked him how he can afford it. He said he 'has two full jobs and works over 80 hours in one week, 160 in two weeks' and that he's given over 6k before. Think about that, he's giving his hard earned money to someone who works less than him and makes more than him. That's insane.

I for one have never even opened any of those low-skill typical girl gamer streams, but if they can get basically free money from foreveralone idiots that are probably jerking it while watching some girl playing a video game, why not.

Completely other thing is that most of those girl streams are basically lite versions of camshows.
If they can look themselves into the mirror tomorrow, why not.

I remember back in like 2015 there was this Arabian guy who donated more than 100k$ to various CSGO streamers. But all of them were great players.

This too, I can see donating $5 maybe $10 if it's a smaller streamer you really like and you've enjoyed their content for a while, I just can't believe people donate over $100 for 20 seconds of fame.

I agree they don't need to be defended, but they don't need to be attacked either. Because attacking them isn't going to solve the problem, the problem is the people throwing the money at them.

People always throw shit at the producers but rarely at the consumers. If there wasn't such a high demand for it then the price and supply for that demand wouldn't be high for it either.

If a girl that lived in Maine told me she'd pay me $600 a week to watch me play VGs for a bit, then I'm sorry, I'm taking that offer. And these girls should too. These people throwing the money at them are the reason they exist. And it won't go away until that desperation and idiocy goes away.
