Do you think it's disgusting that a school would bring K-2 kids to a Gun Range??

Holdheide Academy in Georgia is causing outrage after they took PRE-KINDERGARTEN aged kids and 2nd graders to a GUN RANGE...and even let them HOLD the guns!!

The school has now lost its permit to care for pre-kindergarten students after pictures of them going to Hi-Caliber Firearms gun range last week in celebration onf "Annie Oakley Day" where they were learning the "Tall Tales In American History"

The awful school shared those photos on Facebook which was their downfall after people blew the whistle on them where they wre taught how to load BULLETS into the gun and aim properly.

The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning were notified and began an investigation.

They said "We have received numerous emails and social media messages concerning a recent field trip by Holdheide Academy. This program operates on a licensed child care program and indicates they operate a private school with elementary aged children in Grades K-2nd."

On Monday, the DECAL issued a cease and desist order after the incrimminating photos were made public and now they must stop caring for preschool children from their licensed program in a building meant for older children in their privatee school.

Tammy Dorsten who runs this school DEFENDED that trip and said "Holdheide is a SACS Accredited program and a private school. We move children according to their own developmental, academic and social readiness. We had 2 children who tested into our pre-K program and who were naturally in the pre-K class despite being a month from their 4th birthday. Bright from the Start has asked us to move the pre-K class back into our lower schools and so we abided"

Parents apparently "signed off" on this request for them to take them there as parents PRAISED them for bringing them to a gun range because they said it teaches children how to handle firearms properly and "protect" themselves. They said they learn valuable lessons of hunting and how to kill and eat food...

But the majority of other parents disagreed with this that young children should be taken to gun ranges and called it "disgusting"

Do you think it's disgusting that teachers bring K-2 kids to a GUN RANGE??.

As long as they're in a safe, controlled environment, then I see no problem with it.

It's not like they let them into the range and just said "go wild, guns are on the wall over there."

The parents of the children signed off on it

Other parents that don't raise the children and have no part in their lives are offended? Fuck right off

What a cock tease tho. Didn't even let them shoot.

wait, hold the guns or shoot the guns? Because as long as a trained supervisor is there to make sure they are handling the guns with respect and they are not loaded I don't have a big problem with it. If the guns they were handling were loaded and or they were shooting them even under a 1 on 1 constant adult supervision I would want the teacher fired immediately.

What would you have a problem with them firing the gun? They would learn a new respect for them.

I'm actually ok with a child learning how to fire a gun, but not around a group of other children being supervised by 1 or 2 adults. Having enough adults to do 1 on 1 teaching might be even worse, because I don't trust a random adult who works at a gun range with my imaginary child.

Kids are fucking stupid. They aren't learning shit from this. They won't remember any of these safety tips. It's a waste of time and money.

Also what could they possibly learn from this field trip that will help them in their kindergarten education?

Fun fact: everyone that answered no is indirectly responsible for school shootings and the attitude of just accepting gun violence as part of the cultural landscape and directly responsible for failing to guide their child in the formative years.

Nope, they'll wait until they're in high school like every other school shooter. Not that they'll need to buy them, there will be an overabundance of weapons in whatever houses these kids grow up in.
besides, theyll need to learn how to wield them when the liberals hand this country over to the terrorists.
