Yes No View Results 13 y/o Harlie Smith was killed after her FATHER backed up on her with the Boat and the PROPELLERS severely cut her leg!! Harlie, from Naples, Florida died after she was caught by the propeller when her father backed the boat up over her, not realizing she was there. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation officials said the 2017, 31-foot Boston Whaler was operated by her Dad, George Smith. Harlie jumped into the water when she saw a lobster but yelled for her father to reverse...but not knowing she was directly behind the boat, he ended up reversing over her and the propeller severely cut her right leg where she lost a lot of blood and died as a result of the injury Her brother, George and mother, June and a family friend, 22y y/o Michael Miller were not injured Have you ever been on a boat before?
